Dying Light: The Beast launched worldwide at the same moment on September 18, 2025: 9:00 a.m. PDT in Los Angeles and 6:00 p.m. CEST in Paris. Because the launch was simultaneous, the local date and clock time depended on your time zone.
What time did Dying Light: The Beast unlock?
The global unlock was 9:00 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) on September 18, 2025. That same moment was 6:00 p.m. Central European Summer Time (CEST) in Paris. PC Gamer reported the 9 a.m. PDT launch, and GameSpot gave Los Angeles and Paris as local examples.
To work out the equivalent for another location, convert 9:00 a.m. PDT on September 18, 2025 into that location’s time zone. The listed times are one instant, not separate regional unlocks. Some places were already on September 19 when the game became available.
Why did the date change?
On September 12, 2025, Techland announced it was moving the release to September 18 after more than 1 million players had secured a copy ahead of launch. The studio’s statement described those players as having “secured their copy”; it did not identify that figure as units sold. Techland’s announcement also published the global launch schedule.

Which platforms launched on September 18?
Techland’s launch announcement listed PC, PlayStation 5 Pro, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. It also named the Hero of Harran Bundle as a preorder bonus and said owners of Dying Light 2: Stay Human Ultimate Edition would automatically receive the bundle for The Beast. Those were launch-era terms, not confirmation of a current preorder offer. See Techland’s platform and bundle announcement.
