EA Sports FC 25’s Fantasy FC League was a limited-entry Football Ultimate Team friendly with a squad overall-rating limit. EA announced 36 entries in three drops, with exclusive player rewards at 10, 20 and 30 wins. The event ran in February and March 2025 and is no longer a current mode.
How did the FC 25 Fantasy FC League work?
Players entered a Football Ultimate Team friendly and built a squad within the event’s Fantasy OVR allowance. EA announced a total of 36 entries, with meaningful rewards available at every two-win milestone. The top reward tier required 30 wins. These were event rules announced by EA on February 21, 2025—not a guarantee that every reward milestone included a player item.

EA described these three items as exclusive to Fantasy FC League. Its announcement also said meaningful rewards were available every two wins, but did not identify every such reward as a player item.

How did the Fantasy FC upgrade mechanic work?
The League was part of the wider Fantasy FC campaign. Selected items could improve based on real-world club and player performances in forthcoming domestic league matches. EA announced different conditions for current players and Heroes; the rules did not mean that every item would earn every upgrade.
Current-player conditions
- A club winning two of its next four league matches would grant the item +1 OVR and a new Role++.
- Scoring 10 goals over the next four league matches would raise one attribute to 99.
- For goalkeepers, defenders and defensive midfielders, one clean sheet in the next four league matches would grant a second PlayStyle+ and a PlayStyle. Heroes were excluded from this clean-sheet condition.
- EA described an alternative award for players who already had two PlayStyles+; the announcement did not specify that alternative in the rules summarized here.
Heroes
EA said Heroes would receive upgrades based on their club’s performance in forthcoming domestic league matches. The current-player conditions above should not be assumed to apply to Heroes.

How was the Fantasy FC Cup different?
The Fantasy FC Cup was a separate event, not another name for the League and not a source of additional League entries. Both used the Fantasy OVR allowance concept, but EA described different structures:

Was the FC 25 League the same as the FC 26 version?
No. EA’s February 20, 2026 announcement described a later FC 26 League with 24 entries across three drops and 20 challenge rewards, with a reward for every win. Those are FC 26 rules and do not change FC 25’s 36-entry schedule or its 10-, 20- and 30-win exclusive player milestones.

EA’s player-item help page lists general acquisition routes for campaign items, including the Transfer Market, SBC rewards, Objectives, Season Levels, reward packs and Store Packs. That general guidance does not establish that Bennacer, Ødegaard or Maicon from the League were available through any of those routes; EA described the named items as League-exclusive.
