Cristiano Ronaldo and Khadija Shaw were named the respective 12th players. The campaign also brought themed player items, Evolutions, SBCs, Objectives and Rush content; the sources establish it as a 2025 event, not as content still available in October 2026.
Who was in FC 25 Team of the Year?
EA announced two squads for Football Ultimate Team 25. The names below follow EA’s listed order; each 12th player was selected separately from the XI.

Men’s TOTY
XI: Vini Jr., Kylian Mbappé, Mohamed Salah, Cole Palmer, Rodri, Jude Bellingham, Grimaldo, William Saliba, Virgil van Dijk, Carvajal and Emiliano Martínez.
12th player: Cristiano Ronaldo.
Women’s TOTY
XI: Caroline Graham Hansen, Sophia Smith, Lauren James, Guro Reiten, Alexia Putellas, Aitana Bonmatí, Sakina Karchaoui, Wendie Renard, Irene Paredes, Lucy Bronze and Ann-Katrin Berger.

EA’s men’s page also names honorable mentions including Jamal Musiala, Lionel Messi, Federico Valverde, Nico Williams, Jeremie Frimpong, Antonio Rüdiger, Mike Maignan, Erling Haaland and Florian Wirtz. It also names Lindsey Horan and Giulia Gwinn in its honorable-mentions section. That page excerpt does not establish a complete or sex-specific honorable-mentions roster, so these names should not be treated as exhaustive. When did FC 25 TOTY come out?
EA’s main campaign announcement was dated January 17, 2025. A warm-up announcement followed on January 14. The main announcement listed reward milestones beginning January 17, with further Evolution and Objective milestones on January 20, 24 and 25. Those dates describe the 2025 campaign schedule; they do not establish that the event or its items remain obtainable now. How did FC 25 TOTY voting work?
EA said the final selections combined EA and community votes. Under the official campaign terms, voting opened at 8:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time on January 6, 2025, and closed at 11:59 p.m. PST on January 12, 2025. The voting window and result are documented in EA’s men’s TOTY terms and women’s TOTY terms.

- Squad Building Challenges and Objectives: EA promoted themed SBCs and Objectives, including Flashback SBC players commemorating previous TOTY winners.
- Rush and special items: The campaign included Rush content and a TOTY Eras Zinedine Zidane ICON item.
How the six-Evolution chain worked
The player selected at the start had to remain the eligible player through the entire chain. The Pace-themed first Evolution was required because it unlocked the item rarity needed for the later stages. This was a linked progression, not six interchangeable upgrades for different players. EA outlined the chain in its TOTY warm-up announcement.
