The listing names the original game version v1.0 as its target.
That version label is the most important qualification. The page does not establish compatibility with current PC builds, a particular storefront, Windows version, console editions, online play, or any multiplayer mode. It also was not independently tested. Treat the list below as a description of what the CheatBook entry claims, not as proof that the executable will work on your installation.

What this trainer is—and what it is not
A trainer is a separate program intended to alter a running game’s values or timing while you play. In this case, CheatBook presents the utility for the PC version of Earth Defense Force 4.1: The Shadow of New Despair. Its eight listed options target player durability, class energy, weapon handling, vehicle durability, movement, jumping, and overall game speed.
The listing does not provide an independently verified download, installation procedure, keyboard shortcuts, activation keys, operating-system support, or technical explanation of how each option is implemented. It therefore cannot answer practical questions such as whether a current Steam build has the same memory layout as v1.0, whether a particular trainer release matches your executable, or whether an option remains active after a mission reload.

| Item | What the CheatBook entry establishes | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| Target | Original PC game version v1.0 | Compatibility with later patches, storefront builds, or operating systems |
| Options | Eight named functions | Hotkeys, limits, activation order, or technical implementation |
| Platform | Presented as a PC trainer | Use on PS4 or any other console |
| Play modes | No trainer-specific mode guidance | Safe or supported use in online co-op, versus, or other multiplayer |
| Testing status | The page’s claims are available for attribution | Independent testing of the trainer |
That distinction prevents a common mistake: the existence of a PS4 version of the game does not make a PC trainer usable on PS4. A console copy and a Windows utility are different products and use different software environments.
The eight listed options
The names below are the exact functions reported by CheatBook. The descriptions explain the resource or behavior each name implies; the page does not specify numerical caps, activation keys, or whether an effect persists between missions.
1. Infinite Armor
This option is intended to prevent the player’s armor value from decreasing, or to replenish it continuously. Its obvious use is survivability when a mission’s enemy density, boss attacks, or difficulty overwhelms a normal armor pool. The listing does not say whether the effect applies to every playable class, whether damage can still trigger a scripted failure, or whether environmental hazards are included. Those details should be treated as unknown rather than assumed.

2. Infinite Flying Energy
Flying classes spend an energy resource to remain airborne or use aerial abilities. The listed flying-energy option is aimed at that resource, allowing the affected class to fly without the normal depletion described by the game. It is class-specific in concept: a class with no flight meter may have nothing for this option to modify. CheatBook supplies no information about energy regeneration, special attacks that consume the same meter, or behavior during a mission transition.

3. Infinite Ammo / No Reload
This combined option addresses ammunition and the reload cycle. In the stated behavior, weapons can continue firing without exhausting their reserve and without the normal reload interruption. “Infinite ammo” and “no reload” are related but not necessarily identical implementation choices: a trainer might freeze a reserve count, remove a reload timer, or do both. The source does not identify which weapons, classes, alternate fire modes, or scripted weapon states are covered.
4. Rapid Fire
Rapid Fire changes the interval between shots, making a weapon fire more quickly than its normal cadence. It is separate from ammunition and reload control: a faster weapon can still consume ammunition unless the no-reload option is also active. The page gives no rate multiplier and does not say whether every weapon responds. Very high fire rates can also make a weapon behave differently from its designed timing, but no specific side effects are documented for this trainer.
5. Vehicles Infinite Armor
This option targets the durability of a vehicle rather than the infantry character’s armor. It is relevant when a mission requires keeping a vehicle operational while facing giant enemies, robots, or concentrated fire. The listing does not clarify whether it covers every vehicle, passenger damage, vehicles spawned by scripted events, or only the vehicle currently occupied. Do not infer that player armor and vehicle armor are the same value; CheatBook lists them separately.

The movement-speed function changes how quickly the player’s character travels through the level. It is distinct from the game-speed function later in the list: movement speed changes the character’s locomotion, while game speed is described as changing the pace of the game itself. The source does not provide a multiplier, a toggle method, or information about whether acceleration, strafing, ladders, knockback, or animation timing are affected.

- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (7-in-1), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
7. Super Jump
Super Jump increases the height or distance of the player’s jump. That can help with navigation, reaching elevated terrain, or escaping a crowded encounter. The page does not state whether the option changes only jump impulse or also fall behavior, nor whether it works for every class. A jump enhancement can alter level geometry in ways the original game does not expect, so use it as an experimental movement change rather than a guaranteed route through every obstacle.
8. Super Speed (Game Speed)
This option is described as increasing overall game speed. Unlike character movement speed, it may affect the timing of enemies, projectiles, animations, mission events, and other systems that run from the game’s clock. CheatBook does not state the multiplier or whether pausing, cutscenes, menus, network synchronization, or scripted objectives are included. Because its scope is broader than a movement boost, it should be considered the most disruptive option in the list.
How the options differ in practice
The options are not competing trainer editions; they alter different categories of play. The following comparison helps identify the narrowest change that matches a particular problem.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors| Player goal | Relevant option | Resource or behavior changed | Important unknown |
|---|---|---|---|
| Survive incoming damage | Infinite Armor | Player armor | Class coverage and treatment of scripted damage |
| Stay airborne with a flying class | Infinite Flying Energy | Flight-energy resource | Which abilities consume the meter |
| Keep firing | Infinite Ammo / No Reload | Reserve ammunition and/or reload timing | Weapon and fire-mode coverage |
| Shorten the gap between shots | Rapid Fire | Weapon firing interval | Rate multiplier and weapon compatibility |
| Protect a vehicle | Vehicles Infinite Armor | Vehicle durability | Vehicle types and scripted vehicles covered |
| Travel faster | Super Speed (Movement) | Character locomotion | Effect on movement states and animations |
| Reach higher areas | Super Jump | Jump impulse or height | Fall behavior and class coverage |
| Accelerate the whole session | Super Speed (Game Speed) | Global timing | Effects on events, enemies, and synchronization |
Using the narrowest option is easier to reason about than enabling every toggle at once. For example, a player who only needs to cross a difficult section may want a movement or jump change, while a player trying to prevent a vehicle from being destroyed needs the vehicle-specific function. The source does not establish that combinations are stable, so combinations should be regarded as unverified.

Version and platform limits
The v1.0 qualification
CheatBook explicitly labels the trainer for the original game version v1.0. That is a target identifier, not a promise that every copy displaying the game’s title will match. A later executable can change internal addresses, timing, or protection behavior, causing a trainer to do nothing, affect the wrong value, or close the game. No current-build compatibility information is supplied.
Before considering the utility, identify the exact executable and build installed on the PC. Record the game’s displayed version, storefront, and update state. If it is not the original v1.0 target, the listing provides no evidence that the trainer is appropriate. Do not treat a successful launch of the game as proof that a trainer has matched it.
PC is not PS4
The underlying game is described in the CheatBook entry in both PC/Steam and console contexts, including a PS4 version. The trainer itself is presented as a PC program. It cannot be assumed to run on a PS4, and a PS4 game listing should never be represented as the trainer. Hardware, executable format, and input environments are different.
Online and versus modes
The game description reports local co-op and versus play for two players and online co-op for up to four players. It does not say that this trainer supports, detects, or safely handles any of those modes. There is no basis for claiming that altered armor, ammunition, speed, or timing will synchronize with other players. For that reason, the trainer’s multiplayer behavior is unknown, not supported by the cited information, and unsuitable to present as a feature.

Game context for understanding the options
CheatBook describes Earth Defense Force 4.1: The Shadow of New Despair as a reimagining of Earth Defense Force 2025. It reports a North American console release date of October 23, 2015 and a Steam release date of July 18, 2016; those dates are claims attributed to that page, and the available excerpt does not state a publication year for the mission figures.
| Game detail | Figure or description reported by CheatBook | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Main-story missions | 89 | Page-attributed count; year not stated in the available excerpt |
| Online missions | 98 | Page-attributed count; year not stated in the available excerpt |
| Playable classes | Four | Page-attributed description |
| Local co-op and versus | Two players | Page-attributed mode description |
| Online co-op | Up to four players | Page-attributed mode description |
| Named threats and machines | Giant bugs, robots, Erginus, and the Walking Fortress Balam | Examples named in the page description |
That scale explains why the option categories are separated. A campaign can demand sustained armor, a flying class can depend on an energy meter, and a vehicle mission can fail when the vehicle is destroyed even if the character remains healthy. Those are different bottlenecks, so an option that changes one does not automatically cover the others.
A cautious way to evaluate a v1.0 trainer
Because the listing supplies no installation or control instructions, the safest useful procedure is a verification workflow rather than a promise of specific buttons.
- Confirm the platform. Use this information only for a Windows PC installation. A PS4 copy is not a compatible target for a PC trainer.
- Record the game build. Write down the version shown by the game or storefront and compare it with the listing’s stated original v1.0 target. If the build differs, regard compatibility as unconfirmed.
- Protect your normal saves. Keep a separate copy of save data before experimenting. The source does not document how altered values interact with progress or mission completion.
- Start with one option. Test the smallest change that addresses the problem—such as movement for traversal or vehicle armor for a vehicle objective—in an offline, non-competitive session.
- Observe the result. Check whether the intended value changes and whether menus, animations, mission triggers, and input remain normal. Do not infer success merely because the trainer window opens.
- Stop if behavior is abnormal. Disable the option, exit the game, and return to the unmodified installation or backup if crashes, corrupted saves, missing effects, or unpredictable timing appear.
- Do not expand the claim. A result on one v1.0 PC setup would not prove compatibility with another build, operating system, storefront, or multiplayer session.
What to do when it does not work
No troubleshooting matrix is provided for this trainer, so there is no documented hotkey, error code, or fix to reproduce. The most informative checks are version and scope checks:
- If nothing changes, re-check whether the game is actually the original v1.0 target. A newer executable is the clearest documented mismatch.
- If the game closes or behaves unpredictably, turn off all options, relaunch without the utility, and compare the clean session with the altered one.
- If only one function fails, do not assume the other seven work; each option may target a different value and may have different compatibility.
- If the issue appears only in co-op or versus play, treat the mode as outside the trainer’s established scope rather than trying to force synchronization.
- If a save behaves differently after experimentation, restore the separate backup before drawing conclusions about the game or the trainer.
These steps are general isolation practices, not fixes confirmed by CheatBook. The page does not publish a supported operating-system list, update history, or developer troubleshooting guidance.
Bottom line
CheatBook’s entry describes a PC trainer for the original v1.0 release of Earth Defense Force 4.1: The Shadow of New Despair and names eight functions covering armor, flight energy, ammunition, firing rate, vehicle armor, movement, jumping, and global game speed. It does not establish modern compatibility, console support, multiplayer safety, or independent test results. Use the v1.0 label as a hard limitation, treat every option as unverified on later builds, and keep the PS4 game separate from the PC trainer in both expectations and terminology.
