The map leads to a separate treasure, the Nature’s Ward shield, which sits in a ruin in Delemgan Glade near the Rock Arch Beacon. You reach that chest by activating a switch outside the building and then walking back in through the front entrance. Guides also spell the name “Earthy Aegis”; it refers to the same treasure map.
Where to find the Earthly Aegis treasure map
The map is hidden in the market-stall area beside the camp, not in the main town. Guides published in February 2025 give the same route with minor wording differences.
- Go to the camp and canteen area outside Naku Tedek in Emerald Stair.
- Head south of the Naku Tedek Party Camp.
- Pass the unattended merchant booths.
- Use the tree root (GameSpot) or fallen tree trunk (PC Gamer) to reach a hole in the ruins.
- Open the chest inside the broken structure to take the map.
Per GameSpot’s Earthy Aegis guide and PC Gamer’s Earthly Aegis guide, the route is the same; only the description of the climbing object differs.
Where the treasure ruin is
The treasure is not inside the map’s ruin. It sits in Delemgan Glade in Emerald Stair, near the Rock Arch Beacon. The guides place the landmark slightly differently: PC Gamer puts the ruin north of the Wildwoods Plateau camp, before the Godless Sinkhole, while GameSpot describes it on the eastern edge of Delemgan Glade, north and above the beacon. If the first approach doesn’t reveal the structure, search near the beacon and check the glade’s eastern edge.

How to open the treasure chest
The chest is locked behind an exterior switch, not the front door. The guides agree on this sequence, which is documented in the Gamer Guides walkthrough:
- Walk around the ruin and follow the root or vine to reach its exterior.
- Move along the root or vine to the exterior switch and activate it.
- Return to the front entrance of the ruin.
- Enter and loot the chest to receive Nature’s Ward.
If the switch prompt does not appear
- PC Gamer notes that the switch is finicky to activate while you balance on the tree above a drop.
- Adjust your position and angle until the interaction prompt appears, then press the activation button.
- Do not expect to reach the chest from the root alone; you must return to the entrance after the switch works.
Route summary
| Stage | Where | Landmark | Key action |
|---|---|---|---|
| Map chest | Camp and canteen area outside Naku Tedek, Emerald Stair | Naku Tedek Party Camp, unattended merchant booths | Use the tree root or fallen trunk to reach a hole in the ruins, then open the chest |
| Treasure chest | Delemgan Glade, Emerald Stair | Rock Arch Beacon | Follow the root or vine to the exterior switch, activate it, return to the front entrance, open the chest |
What the treasure gives you
The chest holds Nature’s Ward, a shield. Per the guides, its Spiked Brambles effect returns melee damage blocked with the shield to the attacker, and its Purging ability has a 50% chance to remove poison whenever you are afflicted. Both descriptions appear in the GameSpot guide and the PC Gamer guide. These are game-item effects as the guides described them in February 2025, not figures from a formal study, and later updates could change them.
