When did skate. release in Early Access?
EA and Full Circle announced the September 16, 2025 release date on August 26. EA’s current skate. FAQ confirms that Early Access began on that date, so September is the game’s past Early Access release date, not a future launch window.

EA marked the launch with a September 16, 2025 announcement. Early Access is an ongoing development period: EA says players should expect bugs and other issues as the team continues to develop the game and add content. Its August 27, 2025 development update described community feedback, cross-play and cross-progression, and seasonal updates as part of that period.
Which platforms can you play skate. on?
EA announced Early Access for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC through Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the EA app. The FAQ lists Android and iOS as platforms to follow later but does not give a mobile release date.

Do you need a controller to play on PC?
Yes. EA’s PC requirements page, dated September 12, 2025, says a controller is required for the Early Access PC version and that keyboard and mouse are unsupported. EA names PS4 DualShock, PS5 DualSense, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S controllers as examples. That page also listed macOS, Linux, and Steam Deck as unsupported at the time; check EA’s current requirements before relying on those dated compatibility details.
What kind of game is skate.?
EA describes skate. as a free-to-play online multiplayer skateboarding sandbox set in San Vansterdam. Its announcement highlights four neighborhoods—Hedgemont, Gullcrest, Market Mile, and Brickswich—and features including Flick-It controls, exploring on foot, Quick Drop placement of ramps and other objects, challenges, Spectate, and Skatepedia. These are EA’s feature descriptions, not an independent assessment of how they play.

EA says the game is free to play. Its FAQ describes cosmetics that can be unlocked through progression, alongside optional premium cosmetics bought with San Van Bucks. The September 2025 launch announcement also described optional Founder’s Packs, but their launch-era prices and availability should not be treated as current offers.
