Easy Fox says it is spending more than US$1,000 per day on AI services to keep the voice-driven demo of Teach My Little Sister How To Drive running. The figure comes from the developer, as quoted in a JournalArta report dated October 11, 2026; it is not an independently audited cost. Easy Fox attributed the rising total to a surge in players, not unusually high costs per player.
How much does the demo cost to run?
“We are currently spending over $1,000 per day on AI services for the demo,” Easy Fox wrote in a Steam update, according to JournalArta. That is the developer’s reported spending, not a verified invoice total. The available reports do not provide a detailed cost breakdown or a confirmed per-player figure.

Why did the spending increase?
Easy Fox said more people playing the demo drove up its total AI bill. The developer was quoted as saying: “This isn’t because each player is particularly expensive to support. The total cost has increased because so many people are playing, and we have taken out a bank loan to help keep the demo running.”

NeoTeo reported that Easy Fox said the number of demo players had grown more than twentyfold over the preceding month. That is a player-growth claim, not a statement that costs rose twentyfold. JournalArta also cited a peak of 431 concurrent players on October 1, attributing the figure to SteamDB data via Tom’s Hardware; it is a reported concurrency figure, not a count of everyone who played.

Why does the game use so much AI?
Voice is the demo’s central control method: players speak instructions as they try to teach the character to drive. Secondary reports say usage limits on Gemini led the developers to rely more on an OpenAI fallback. They also describe player-facing problems, including replies that were too long or unnatural and incorrect driving actions. These are reported issues, not measured performance results or a published comparison of the systems.
The Steam listing is reported to require a microphone for voice control, according to GeekChamp. The reports do not identify a particular microphone as necessary.

Will the full game charge separately for AI tokens?
Easy Fox said it planned to include expected AI usage in the paid game’s price. “For the paid release, we plan to account for expected AI usage in the game’s price,” the developer said, according to JournalArta. It also said: “Players will not be charged separately for their individual AI token usage after purchasing the game.”

Could the demo shut down early?
As of an October 7 update described by NeoTeo, Easy Fox had not decided whether to end the demo ahead of schedule, though financial pressure could force that decision. Whether the demo is still available now has not been established by the reports cited here.

The developer was reported to be testing or considering local AI models for players with capable hardware. That is not a generally available feature. Local processing could shift some inference work from online services to a player’s computer, but it also places hardware and setup demands on the player; the reports do not confirm a finished option or its requirements.
