Konami’s eFootball mobile version launched in June 2022—not in a newly announced upcoming June release. The company’s FY2023 first-quarter presentation confirms the launch month, while its original announcement had described mobile as following the console and PC release.
What Konami announced—and when mobile arrived
In 2021, Konami introduced eFootball as a free-to-play football simulation brand from the makers of PES and Winning Eleven. The company said it was rebuilt in Unreal Engine and would launch first on PlayStation, Xbox, Windows and Steam, with iOS and Android versions to follow. Mobile-specific details were to come later. Konami’s announcement was a roadmap, not confirmation of a mobile launch date.

Konami later confirmed the timing in its FY2023 Q1 investor presentation: “eFootball™ 2022 console/PC versions updated to v1.0.0 in April and launched its mobile version in June”. The presentation establishes June 2022 as the launch month, but does not give an exact day. Konami Group’s investor materials
Where you can play eFootball now
Konami’s product overview, checked October 2026, lists PlayStation 5 and 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, Xbox on PC, Steam, iOS and Android. It describes eFootball as free-to-play with in-game purchases; free-to-play does not mean every item or feature is free. See Konami’s current platform overview.

Mobile requirements and device considerations
Konami’s overview lists these minimum requirements for mobile. Requirements can change, so check the official page before installing.

Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee smooth performance on a particular device, according to Konami. The published specifications do not establish how well a specific phone or tablet performs.

Touch controls, controllers and multiplayer
Konami’s original roadmap described mobile controller support and matchmaking across available platforms—including mobile when using a compatible controller—as future plans. That 2021 statement is not a current compatibility list: the cited official materials do not identify which controller models work with the mobile game today. Check compatibility for the exact game version and device before buying an accessory.
In mobile patch notes for version 1.1.4, Konami documented changes to controls after the June engine switch, including adjustments to defending and movement inputs, and the addition of Friend Match.
