Spoiler warning: The Faye steps below reveal parts of her recruitment sequence. To recruit Code L, bring him a Rune of Currents; to recruit Riufan, reach Nowa level 32 and win his one-on-one fight; and to find Nell, check the bag in the top-left of Hishahn. Faye’s quest requires recruiting B’baba first, along with Yusuke, Francesca, and Yume.
How to recruit Code L
- Go to the Rune Shop in Daphan Village and speak with Code L.
- Show him a Rune of Currents. The earliest source identified for this rune is the boss in Hishahn Old Town, according to the community-maintained Eiyuden Chronicle Wiki recruitment guide.
How to recruit Riufan
Find Riufan in Hishahn. Nowa must be at least level 32, and recruiting Riufan requires winning a one-on-one fight against him, according to Gamer Guides. If the duel is unavailable or you lose, level Nowa to the stated threshold and try again.
Where to find Nell
In Hishahn, look for the bag in the top-left area of town and speak to it to find Nell. This location is given by Gamer Guides.
How to recruit B’baba and progress Faye’s quest
Recruit B’baba before trying to advance Faye’s sequence. The guide describes a repeating pattern: trigger a Faye scene in the Headquarters commercial area, then return to B’baba on the first floor of Headquarters for the next hint. Follow the hints to Yusuke, Francesca, and Yume; all three must already be recruited for the described sequence.
