There is no defensible universal top ten for Dexterity weapons in Elden Ring without comparing each weapon at the same stats, upgrade level and affinity. A scaling letter alone cannot tell you which weapon will deal the most damage: its underlying scaling value and base attack power both matter. This guide explains how to judge Dexterity weapons and what a reliable shortlist needs to compare, rather than presenting unverified picks as a tested ranking.
What Dexterity scaling means
Dexterity contributes to a weapon’s attack power when that weapon has Dexterity scaling. The grade shown in the weapon’s stats is a broad indicator of that scaling, not a complete damage score. The game’s hidden scaling value and the weapon’s base damage work together to determine the attribute bonus. Eldenpedia’s weapon-scaling reference gives approximate hidden-value bands: E below 0.25, D from 0.25 to 0.5999, C from 0.6 to 0.8999, B from 0.9 to 1.3999, A from 1.4 to 1.75, and S above 1.75.

That is why a weapon with a higher letter is not automatically the better damage choice. Compare the actual attack power shown for your own build, while accounting for moveset, reach, skill, damage type and status effects. Upgrade level and affinity also affect the result.
How Keen and Quality affinities change the choice
Keen for a Dexterity-focused build
Keen is a physical-focused affinity that reduces a weapon’s base damage somewhat, cuts its Strength scaling substantially and increases its Dexterity scaling. It is available only with compatible weapon skills unless you have the Iron Whetblade, which broadens Keen compatibility to all skills, according to Eldenpedia’s Keen Affinity reference. Check the weapon’s available affinities rather than assuming Keen can be applied to every skill setup.

Quality for Strength and Dexterity together
Quality is an alternative for builds investing in both Strength and Dexterity. Whether it is preferable depends on the character’s stat spread; the affinity name or scaling grade by itself does not establish which setup has the higher attack power. The Quality affinity reference describes its Strength-and-Dexterity orientation.
Attribute investment also has diminishing returns. Eldenpedia’s physical-affinity table, for example, shows a stat-scaling value of 90 at 80 Dexterity and 96 at 99 Dexterity. Those figures illustrate that adding more Dexterity does not translate into a proportional increase in the scaling value; they are not a universal breakpoint or proof that every build should stop at a particular stat.

What a genuine top-ten comparison should measure
A useful ordered list needs a consistent model. Without the same character stats and upgrade level for every candidate, attack-power comparisons are not meaningful. A scaling grade alone cannot supply the missing comparison, and a weapon’s practical value also depends on how it plays.
- Build and upgrade assumptions: State the Strength and Dexterity values, weapon upgrade level, and affinity used for the comparison.
- Attack power and scaling: Compare the resulting attack power, not just the letter grade; account for base damage and the weapon’s actual scaling.
- Combat feel: Consider weapon class, attack speed, reach and stamina demands, since a damage figure does not describe how reliably a moveset can connect.
- Skill and damage profile: Include the weapon skill, damage type and any status effects that materially distinguish the weapon.
- Build flexibility: Note whether a weapon can use Keen or another relevant affinity, and whether it can be buffed or infused when that affects the setup.
- Availability: Identify when and where it can be obtained, and clearly label whether the item requires Shadow of the Erdtree or is in the base game.
The references available here establish scaling and affinity mechanics, but do not substantiate ten current weapon-by-weapon recommendations, their acquisition routes, or comparable attack-power results at a defined build and upgrade level. Naming a ranked ten under those conditions would imply a comparison that has not been established.

How to choose for your own character
- Check your weapon’s current attack power, scaling and requirements in its status panel.
- Decide whether your build is primarily Dexterity or invests meaningfully in Strength as well.
- Compare compatible affinities—especially Keen for Dexterity investment and Quality for a Strength-and-Dexterity hybrid—at your current stats and upgrade level.
- Try the moveset and skill, then weigh speed, reach, stamina cost and damage or status type against the attack-power result.
- Confirm the weapon’s acquisition and game-content requirements before building around it.
