On the way, the Frenzy-Flaming Tower can build up Madness when you are exposed to it: use rocks and other terrain to break line of sight, and move between covered spots.
Where is the Church of Inhibition?
The church sits on a ridge above Frenzied Flame Village, in northeastern Liurnia of the Lakes. Although the church is visible from nearby areas, the guides agree that going through the village and climbing the slope behind it is the practical approach.

How to reach the church
- Start near Bellum Church and travel toward the Grand Lift of Dectus, taking the route into the northeastern Liurnia hillside. Hug the eastern cliffs to avoid many of the enemies along the way, as recommended by GameSpot’s route guide.
- As you approach the Frenzy-Flaming Tower, watch for its flame effect. When you are exposed, Madness builds rapidly; if the meter fills, it can drain health and FP. Break line of sight behind rocks or other terrain, then travel from one covered position to another.
- GameSpot describes a Spiritwind that can launch you behind the tower toward Frenzied Flame Village, helping limit exposure on the approach. Once you reach the village, climb the ridge at its northern, back side toward the church.
- Expect Festering Fingerprint Vyke to invade near the church. Once you can, activate the Site of Grace inside. Guides report that defeating Vyke gives you the Fingerprint Grape, which you can take to Hyetta at Bellum Church for her quest.
How to manage the Madness hazard
Use terrain as cover whenever the tower’s effect reaches your path. The relevant tactic is to get out of its line of sight, rather than relying on a specific timing window: the available guides do not establish a fixed safe interval, required level, or equipment requirement. Keep the route between covered positions short when the effect is active.
The guides describe the Spiritwind as an alternate way to get behind the tower, but do not establish that disabling the tower is necessary—or optimal in every game version—to reach the church. If your goal is simply to arrive, prioritize cover and the village ascent.

What to do at the church
Activate the Site of Grace as soon as you reach the interior. A Sacred Tear is also associated with the church, near its large sculpture. If you are following Hyetta’s quest, defeating Vyke and bringing the Fingerprint Grape to her at Bellum Church connects the visit to that questline.
