Instead, it uses sprinting, wall movement, fixed Spiritstream launch points and Spectral Hawks to help players cross Limveld. Those options are tied to the terrain and designated locations rather than offering an always-available mount. Xbox Wire answered the Torrent question directly; the official gameplay guide explains the alternatives.
Can you summon Torrent in Nightreign?
No. Torrent does not appear in Nightreign, according to Xbox Wire’s February 12, 2025 Q&A. The game does not provide the same player-callable steed used for mounted travel in Elden Ring.

How do you travel around Limveld instead?
Nightreign combines fast movement with traversal opportunities placed in the environment. Bandai Namco’s gameplay guide and official starter guide describe these options:
- Surge Sprint: A stamina-using sprint that moves faster than a dash. Xbox Wire says you can activate it by clicking the analog stick while dashing.
- Wall movement: Characters can jump against and climb walls, opening routes that ordinary ground movement cannot reach.
- Spiritstreams: Fixed blue-energy vortexes launch characters much higher than a normal jump, helping them reach high cliffs.
- Spectral Hawks: At designated Spectral Hawk Trees, you can summon a hawk to carry you across cliffs and elevated areas. The starter guide says the trees are marked on the map and the hawks follow specified flight paths.
These are situational ways to navigate the map, not substitutes for a mount you can call wherever you want. The sources describe what each method does but do not give a controlled speed comparison, so there is no supported basis for saying one is faster overall than Torrent.

Why traversal works differently from Elden Ring
Nightreign is a standalone co-op action survival game set in the Elden Ring universe. Its expeditions take place in Limveld, a land that changes between sessions; exploration and preparation unfold under pressure from the Night’s Tide and coming boss encounters. Its sprint, climbing, launch points and fixed hawk routes fit that expedition structure, rather than the original game’s open-world mounted travel. No. Bandai Namco’s official FAQ says Nightreign is playable without owning the original Elden Ring. It also says solo play is possible offline, though cooperative play is central to the game’s design.

The FAQ lists crossplay between PS5 and PS4, and between Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. It does not support crossplay between PlayStation, Xbox and PC. The publisher lists the game for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC; its launch information gives May 30, 2025 as the release date. Check the FAQ and launch information for the publisher’s platform details.
