This guide covers the Scholar character’s Remembrance quest in Elden Ring Nightreign: The Forsaken Hollows—not Syracuse University’s Remembrance Scholarship. Third-party walkthroughs describe it as a chapter-based quest that advances through the journal, objectives, expeditions, and Memory Fragments.
How Scholar’s Remembrance works
Walkthroughs from Game8 and Into Indie Games describe a multi-chapter character quest. Its progress is tied to journal entries and personal objectives, with expeditions and Memory Fragments forming part of the progression. These are third-party walkthrough descriptions, not an official developer guide.

How to unlock and start the quest
Unlock Scholar first
Game8 reports that Chapter 1 becomes available after you unlock Scholar. The available walkthrough information does not establish a patch-specific unlock procedure for Scholar itself.
Begin through the journal
Into Indie Games advises starting the Remembrance from the journal before launching an expedition. Check the journal for the current chapter and its objective, then follow the listed requirement in game. The sources do not establish exact current-version UI labels or a complete sequence of steps for every chapter.

How to progress through the chapters
Game8 describes Chapter 2 as involving expeditions to collect Memory Fragments, with later chapters and objectives opening through journal progress, personal objectives, and expeditions. Use the journal as your progress tracker: check it before an expedition and again after completing an objective to see what has advanced. Exact fragment locations and chapter-by-chapter requirements are not established by the available walkthrough details, so avoid relying on an unverified location list.

The phrase can also refer to Syracuse University’s Remembrance Scholarship. The university’s selection process identifies community impact, leadership, creativity, and thoughtful academic inquiry as selection criteria. That scholarship is unrelated to the Scholar quest in Nightreign.
