The checklist below covers the sets and pieces whose locations are established here; it is not a verified inventory of every armor item in the expansion. Some quest rewards depend on choices or later progression, and random drops may take repeated attempts.
Quick checklist
| Armor | Acquisition | Quest-sensitive or repeatable? |
|---|---|---|
| Solitude Set | Defeat the Knight of the Solitary Gaol in the Western Nameless Mausoleum. | Single encounter reward; the cited guide identifies it as the complete set. |
| Black Knight Set | Random drops from Black Knight enemies in the Realm of Shadow. | Farmable; an individual enemy is not guaranteed to drop the full set. |
| Gravebird pieces | Separate fixed pickups across several locations. | Not a single set pickup. Blackquill Armor is a separate alternative, not the standard Gravebird Armor. |
| Freyja’s Set | Quest outcome involving Freyja’s letter and a later encounter. | Quest-sensitive; recovery locations described include Enir-Ilim and Storehouse, Seventh Floor. |
| Ansbach’s Set | Quest-dependent reward. | Branch-dependent; consult a full quest walkthrough before progressing. |
| Ascetic’s Set | Dropped by Curseblades. | Farmable; the broad guide recommends a Curseblade southwest of the Church of Benediction, at the end of a tunnel. |
Fixed encounter reward
Solitude Set
Defeat the Knight of the Solitary Gaol in the Western Nameless Mausoleum to receive the Solitude Set. The cited location guide describes this as a single encounter reward for the whole set, rather than several scattered pieces. Solitude Set location.
Enemy-drop sets
Black Knight Set
Black Knight armor pieces are random drops from Black Knight enemies in the Realm of Shadow. Keep defeating these enemies if you are missing pieces; do not assume a single kill awards the complete set. Black Knight Set reference.
Ascetic’s Set
Curseblades can drop the Ascetic’s Set. For a farming target, the broad location guide points to a Curseblade southwest of the Church of Benediction, at the end of a tunnel. Drops are not described as guaranteed per kill, so repeat the encounter if necessary. Ascetic’s Set and other armor locations.

Gravebird armor: collect the pieces separately
The Gravebird pieces are found at different points in the Realm of Shadow, rather than together in one chest. Follow each location independently:
- Gravebird Helm: From Spiral Rise, take the lift route and jump onto the large altar.
- Gravebird Armor: Search near the Gravebird statues west of Abandoned Ailing Village.
- Gravebird Bracelets: Look south of Pillar Path Waypoint.
- Gravebird Anklets: Go through the cave by the Moorth Ruins swamp and continue beyond it.
A chest near Temple Town Ruins contains Blackquill Armor, an alternative piece associated with the Gravebird armor family. It is not the same item as standard Gravebird Armor. Gravebird Set locations.
Quest-dependent sets
Freyja’s Set
Freyja’s letter affects how and where her set can be recovered after a later encounter. This is not a straightforward map pickup: consider the letter decision before advancing her quest, and expect the recovery point to depend on your progression. The locations reported for obtaining the set include Enir-Ilim and Storehouse, Seventh Floor. Freyja’s Set reference.
Ansbach’s Set
Ansbach’s complete set is quest-dependent. Because the reward depends on quest progression, check the branch instructions in a complete quest walkthrough before making decisions or moving past relevant encounters. Ansbach’s Set and other armor locations.
How to use this checklist
- For fixed pickups, collect each named Gravebird piece separately and distinguish Blackquill Armor from standard Gravebird Armor.
- For enemy drops, keep track of which pieces you already have; random drops can require repeat kills.
- For quest rewards, review the relevant branch before progressing, especially where a letter choice or later encounter changes the recovery route.
These entries establish useful locations and acquisition methods, but they do not confirm every DLC armor item, alternate version, or quest branch. No single total is given here: published guides count sets and pieces differently, and a complete tally depends on what is included.
