To reach the boss, travel from Shadow Keep through the moat and the hidden passage to the Ruins of Unte, then follow Recluses’ River to the mausoleum.
Where to find Rakshasa
Rakshasa is inside the Eastern Nameless Mausoleum, in the river area east of Shadow Keep. The katana is not a chest pickup: defeat the boss to receive it. Guides also report that Rakshasa drops the Rakshasa armor set.
How to reach the Eastern Nameless Mausoleum
- Start at Shadow Keep. From the battlements, take the eastern ladder down into the moat.
- Find the hidden passage. Follow the moat route to the room containing a painting. Strike the apparently empty wall to reveal an illusory passage.
- Ride the coffin. The passage leads to a coffin that carries you to the Ruins of Unte.
- Reach Recluses’ River Downstream. Follow the river downstream until you arrive at the Recluses’ River Downstream Site of Grace.
- Descend the waterfall platforms. Use the stone platforms beside the waterfall to descend, then enter the cave to the north.
- Follow the cave east. Continue through it to reach the Eastern Nameless Mausoleum and Rakshasa.
Sites of Grace and landmarks are more reliable than treating compass directions in different route summaries as exact turn-by-turn instructions. Another guide labels the route through Castle Watering Hole, Recluses’ River Upstream, and Recluses’ River Downstream, and describes descending platforms marked by glowing signs before following the river east.
How to beat Rakshasa
GamesRadar describes Rakshasa’s attacks as broad and telegraphed, notes that the boss may try to heal around half health, and says Rakshasa can be parried. Pro Game Guides recommends keeping some distance and using attacks with reach. These are guide suggestions, not guarantees; adjust your approach to your build and the boss’s moves.
