That means an exact, verified list of 15 battery-electric cars cannot be established from the available official information without checking each model against a reliable powertrain source. One confirmed example is the 2020 Porsche Taycan Turbo S, which Forza describes as “all-electric.”
Which electric cars can you drive in Forza Horizon 5?
The 2020 Porsche Taycan Turbo S is a confirmed battery-electric example: Forza’s historical confirmed-car announcement calls it “all-electric.” Its presence is useful confirmation, but that launch-era announcement does not establish how to obtain it now. Forza’s confirmed car list.
For the current roster and collection information, use the official Forza Horizon 5 car list. It lists 902 cars and is marked updated March 26, 2026. The page does not classify cars by powertrain, so it cannot by itself verify a 15-car battery-electric roster. Treat “electric” narrowly as battery-electric; hybrids and hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles are different powertrain categories and should not be silently included.
How to check whether a car is in the game and how to collect it
- Find the model in the official Forza Horizon 5 car list and confirm it has a current roster entry.
- Read that model’s listed collection route. Do not assume that a historical announcement or an old unlock method still applies.
- Verify the real-world powertrain from a reliable source before counting the model as a battery-electric car. The Forza roster does not supply that classification.
Forza’s March 26, 2026 roster note says cars that were previously exclusive to Festival Playlists, as well as cars participating in a Backstage Vote, are now available from the Backstage Shop. Check the individual car’s current roster entry for its route rather than assuming every electric car uses the same method.

How electric cars fit into FH5
Electric vehicles are a supported gameplay category, not just a handful of cars on the roster. In the Series 9 update, Forza announced a monthly Forza EV Rivals event in which players drive a different EV each month; a clean lap can earn available Festival Playlist points. The update also added a dedicated EV class to EventLab. These features confirm EV-focused activities, but they do not reveal the complete set of electric cars in the game. The official roster confirms game presence and lists collection routes, but it does not label powertrains or rank EVs by performance. A dependable list of 15 therefore requires two checks for every entry: confirmation in the current game roster and a reliable source establishing that the real-world model is battery-electric. Without both, a list risks counting a hybrid or fuel-cell vehicle as a battery EV, including a car that is not in the current game, or giving outdated unlock advice.

Forza Horizon 5 is an open-world driving game set in Mexico. Its official editions and DLC page says the game has received more than 40 content updates and points readers to the car list for model-specific access information. The breadth of the roster and ongoing updates make checking the current entry more useful than relying on an old car-list article. Forza Horizon 5 editions and DLC.
