Elephantasy: Flipside is a single-player Windows action-adventure released on February 27, 2023. B. Maksym (Linker) developed and published it. Linker’s itch.io product page also provides a Windows download, a Steam key and a downloadable manual.
You play Belle, a small elephant exploring an island and the land of the dead. Progress depends on magical items and on changing how Belle interacts with the environment. The advertised abilities include shrinking and growing, lifting and throwing heavy objects, dashing, and making objects float. Those powers are both movement tools and puzzle solutions, so an exploration-focused cheat can affect how you approach rooms rather than simply making combat easier.

No dependable source in the available documentation gives an exact code string, a code-entry screen, a keyboard sequence, a controller sequence or a list of effects tied to individual codes. Do not copy a random “all codes” list and assume it applies to your build. A code can be mistyped, obsolete, intended for a different release or confused with a normal item command.

How to investigate safely in your own copy
- Check the title screen, pause menu and any in-game help prompt for a feature explicitly labeled for cheats or codes.
- Read the supplied manual and the game’s current version notes before trying an instruction written for an older build.
- Make a separate save before activating anything. A cheat that changes exploration state may make a later completion check difficult to interpret.
- Test one code at a time and record the exact input, effect and game version. If nothing happens, stop rather than repeatedly guessing combinations.
- Prefer a version-specific, firsthand source that shows both the code and the entry method. A claim that only says “cheats exist” is not evidence for a particular string.

The official manual lists the following default keyboard and controller inputs. If you remap controls, use your own bindings during the fight; the table reflects the documented defaults.

Inventory access is worth practicing before the final area. The boss advice below depends on selecting and using herbs quickly, and hesitation while searching for an item can cost a phase.
Prepare for the final boss
Collect the seven ghosts
Sylvie’s player-written guide recommends collecting all seven ghosts before attempting the fight and says the complete sequence requires them. Treat that as the guide’s reported requirement, not as an independently tested game rule, but it is the clearest preparation checklist available. If you have fewer than seven, explore unfinished areas first rather than learning the fight with an incomplete set.

The guide advises using red and blue herbs while they remain in reach. Its practical division is straightforward: red herbs help absorb attack-phase damage, while blue herbs make it easier to reach the descending ghosts. The guide reports that the herb bag is knocked away after the third laser, so do not assume you can save every herb for the end. Use them when they solve the immediate survival problem.

Practice the small form
The guide recommends staying small for the ghost strategy. In its account, the small form provides additional hang-time, giving Belle more time to align with the boss and the ghost. This is not a universal “always stay small” rule: switch forms when a particular attack or position demands it, but begin the laser sequence small if you are following this method.
Understand the room’s randomness
Sylvie notes that attack timing and the locations of broken floor sections vary. A jump that works in one attempt may be blocked by a hole in the next. Plan around the current layout, keep a safe landing area in view and avoid committing to a route solely because it succeeded once.
Final-boss phases and how to respond
Attack phase: lightning orbs and floor slam
In the attack phase described by sylvie, the boss floats around the arena and alternates between lightning orbs and a floor slam. The slam can break tiles, changing the usable platforms and making later ghost jumps harder.
- Watch the boss’s position before moving; the attack timing is not perfectly fixed.
- Keep Belle over intact flooring whenever possible so a sudden hole does not remove your landing option.
- Use a red herb when damage is unavoidable rather than waiting for a perfect opening.
- Do not spend all movement resources chasing damage if the next transition is approaching; surviving to the laser phase is the priority.
Laser phase: touch the descending ghost
During the laser phase, a ghost descends from the ceiling. Sylvie’s guide says Belle must touch that ghost to receive protection from the laser; missing it means death. This is the fight’s central timing test.

- As the laser phase begins, identify the ghost’s vertical path and the nearest stable surface.
- Remain small if you need the extra hang-time described in the guide.
- Try jumping from the boss’s head to reach the ghost. The guide prefers this route to relying on jars, particularly when a floor hole makes the jar route unreliable.
- Use a blue herb if the jump requires extra reach or timing assistance.
- Confirm that Belle has actually contacted the ghost before treating the laser as safe. If you miss, the guide reports that the result is death, so reset your positioning for the next attempt rather than trying to tank the beam.
The descending ghost is not optional decoration in this strategy. Each laser asks you to repeat the alignment process, and the changing floor means you must reassess the jump instead of memorizing one fixed location.
Repeat the attack-and-laser cycle
The guide describes the boss as alternating between attack and laser phases. After surviving a laser, return to the movement discipline used in the attack phase: watch for orbs and the slam, preserve a usable floor, and prepare for the next ghost. The herb bag reportedly disappears after the third laser, so later cycles may demand cleaner jumps and more conservative movement.
Final needle phase
For the final phase, sylvie recommends jumping before throwing the needle. The guide says the height from jumping at the peak of the rising platform is needed to hit the weak point. Set up on the rising platform, wait until it reaches its high point, jump, and throw the needle during that jump. Throwing from the platform without the jump may leave Belle too low.

A compact attempt checklist
- Confirm that all seven ghosts have been collected.
- Enter with red and blue herbs still available.
- Know the inventory and item-use buttons: Tab/Y, E/B and Q/X.
- Start the laser sections small when extra hang-time is useful.
- Use the boss’s head as the preferred ghost-jump route when the floor is broken.
- Expect attack timing and holes to vary from attempt to attempt.
- Assume the herb bag may be lost after the third laser.
- In the needle phase, jump from the peak of the rising platform before throwing.
Common mistakes and fixes
Searching for a code that was never documented
If a forum post gives a code but not the version, entry location or observed effect, treat it as unverified. Return to the game’s own prompts and current documentation instead of trying dozens of combinations.
Arriving without the ghosts
If the laser phase repeatedly ends in an unavoidable death, leave the arena and finish the seven-ghost collection recommended by the guide. The missing protection mechanic is more likely to be the issue than raw damage output.
Using jars when the floor is already damaged
Sylvie specifically favors jumping from the boss’s head over relying on jars when a hole disrupts positioning. Rebuild your route around stable flooring and the boss’s current location.
Staying large for every jump
The guide’s small-form recommendation exists because of hang-time. If Belle repeatedly falls short of the ghost, shrink before the laser transition and use a controlled jump rather than repeating the same large-form attempt.
Assuming an old height exploit still works
Version 1.2 fixed bugs involving excessive height from item swapping or wand use. An exploit shown in an old video may no longer function and may leave you in a worse position than the intended route.
What to expect from the wider game
The advertised scale—more than 700 rooms in 15 areas, over 150 collectibles, eight upgradeable items and multiple endings—makes exploration a major part of Flipside rather than a short path to the finale. Size-changing, object lifting, throwing, dashing and floating-object abilities explain why the official cheat description mentions exploration as well as difficulty. Use those powers to revisit routes, solve environmental barriers and search for ghosts and collectibles before treating the final boss as the only objective.
The safest conclusion on cheats is therefore limited but useful: the feature is real, the exact strings are not established here, and exploit behavior can change with patches. For the final boss, the documented player strategy is concrete enough to practice: seven ghosts, herb management, small-form hang-time, head jumps during laser protection and a jump-then-needle throw at the rising platform’s peak.
