To reach Enir-Ilim, defeat Messmer and Romina, then use Messmer’s Kindling at the Sealing Tree south of the Church of the Bud. The burning sequence sends you to Enir-Ilim’s Outer Wall. From there, climb through First Rise and Spiral Rise to the Cleansing Chamber Anteroom, where Needle Knight Leda’s encounter takes place, then continue to the Gate of Divinity and Promised Consort Radahn. This route follows the Outer Wall start; Belurat is another entrance once it opens.

How do you unlock Enir-Ilim?
Defeat Messmer to obtain Messmer’s Kindling, then defeat Romina to open the way to the Sealing Tree south of the Church of the Bud. Use the Kindling on the tree. The burning sequence reveals Enir-Ilim and transports you to the Outer Wall. The Sealing Tree is also a quest-sensitive checkpoint: PowerPyx warns that using it causes most NPCs to disappear and can stop unfinished side quests. Before burning it, finish any NPC questlines you want to preserve. PowerPyx’s quest guide discusses the timing warning.
Once the route opens, Belurat is also accessible as an entrance. The walkthrough below assumes you begin at the Outer Wall, which provides a clear upward route through the dungeon.

How do you reach First Rise from the Outer Wall?
At the Outer Wall, pick up the Somber Smithing Stone [9] from the corpse behind the Site of Grace if you want the detour. Then head up the stairs toward First Rise. A divine beast warrior guards the approach; you can fight it or run past it, depending on whether you want to clear the route.
Enter the structure and use its ledges and balcony to make your way upward to the First Rise Site of Grace. The route and pickup are described in EIP’s Enir-Ilim walkthrough.
What should you explore at First Rise?
First Rise has several optional pickups, including Messmerfire Grease, a Somber Smithing Stone [5], a Revered Spirit Ash, and the incantation Spira. Explore the nearby rooftops and branches to find detours and shortcuts; inquisitors, ranged spellcasters, and another divine beast warrior can make those side routes dangerous. You can fight through them for a thorough sweep or bypass enemies and keep climbing toward Spiral Rise.
How do you climb Spiral Rise?
Keep ascending through Spiral Rise, checking rooftops and side ledges if you are collecting items. EIP’s route notes a Scadutree Fragment, Horned Warrior Ashes, and additional equipment and upgrade materials along the way. The interactive Shadow of the Erdtree map marks three Scadutree Fragment locations associated with Spiral Rise, including one on a hidden ledge and one on a roof, as well as a Revered Spirit Ash. Route-focused players can continue upward; completionists should inspect those elevated side routes before moving on.
How do you prepare for the Leda encounter?
The Cleansing Chamber Anteroom Site of Grace is the staging point before the NPC encounter. Rest there and collect the nearby Scadutree Fragment if you have not already. A further fragment is marked just beyond the wide hall where the encounter takes place.
Quest progress affects who appears and which NPCs may help. Do not expect a fixed roster or assume every summon sign will be available. If preserving Thiollier’s quest is your goal, PowerPyx advises completing the relevant Thiollier step before interacting with the red summon sign. After the encounter in the Cleansing Chamber Anteroom, continue upward through the remaining route to the Gate of Divinity. The interactive map places the Gate of Divinity Site of Grace directly before the final boss arena. Some NPC summons for the later fight depend on quest completion, so their presence is not guaranteed for every character.
How do you reach the final boss?
From the Gate of Divinity, proceed into the arena to face Promised Consort Radahn, the final boss of Shadow of the Erdtree. The cited route references establish the approach and encounter location; they do not provide a tested, comparative build strategy, so this walkthrough focuses on getting you there rather than prescribing a specific loadout.
