This was a historical Epic Games Store giveaway, not a current offer. Epic made MOTHERGUNSHIP and Train Sim World 2 free to claim from July 29 through August 5, 2021, ending at 11:00 a.m. ET. That claim window has closed.
What happened to the giveaway?
Epic Games Store announced the promotion on July 29, 2021. Its terms said: “Claim MOTHERGUNSHIP and Train Sim World® 2 for free between now and August 5, 2021 (11:00 AM ET), and they’re yours to keep!” That described the offer at the time; it does not mean the games can still be claimed for free now. Read Epic’s original giveaway announcement.
Epic’s live free-games page shows current offers, rather than this 2021 promotion. The giveaway date is not a release date, and the historical offer does not establish today’s price or availability for either game.
What were the two free games?
MOTHERGUNSHIP
Epic described MOTHERGUNSHIP as a first-person shooter that combines bullet-hell intensity with weapon crafting. Players battle a robotic alien invasion, building weapons as they fight. Epic’s announcement presents the premise, not a comparative review or rating.

These are features in the store listing’s description, not an independent assessment of their realism or quality. View Epic’s Train Sim World 2 listing.
