The next Epic Games Store free-game pair is reported to be Out of Sight and TerraScape, for October 8–15, 2026. The research timestamp is Thursday, October 8, before Epic’s scheduled 8 a.m. Pacific rotation, so check Epic’s Free Games page after that time to confirm the new offer is live. Until the switch, the October 1–8 games—System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster and Buried Stars—are still within their scheduled claim window.
What are the free Epic Games this week?
For the October 8–15, 2026 offer, VGC reports Out of Sight and TerraScape as the incoming free games. Epic’s official Free Games page is the place to verify that the rotation has completed; Epic Support says it does not have advance information about upcoming weekly games.
| Game | What it is | Offer dates reported |
|---|---|---|
| Out of Sight | Horror puzzle adventure about Sophie, a blind girl trying to escape a haunted mansion. VGC reproduces the game synopsis: “Sneak, hide, and solve your way through the mansion! Your captors are relentless and danger lurks around every corner.” | October 8–15, 2026 |
| TerraScape | Medieval city-building puzzle game about constructing kingdoms across floating islands by strategically placing buildings. | October 8–15, 2026 |
The descriptions and reported dates come from VGC’s October 2, 2026 report. The report identifies the incoming pair, but the live Epic page should be treated as definitive once the scheduled change occurs.
What games are free today before the rotation?
Before the Thursday, October 8 switch, the offer scheduled for October 1–8 is System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster and Buried Stars. VGC describes the former as an updated version of the 1999 FPS/RPG and the latter as a mystery adventure involving contestants trapped after a survival audition show. Check the live store page to see whether these games remain claimable at the time you visit.

When do Epic’s free games change, and how long do you have?
Epic Player Support says, “A new free game is available every Thursday at 8 AM PT.” According to Epic, players have seven days to claim each weekly offer. The reported October 8–15 window follows that schedule; the exact live transition can be checked on the Free Games page.
How to claim the games
- Sign in to an Epic Games account and make sure two-factor authentication is enabled; Epic requires it to claim free games.
- Open the Epic Games Store Free Games page after the weekly offer is live.
- Select the game you want and complete the claim flow before its seven-day offer ends.
Epic says a claimed game stays in your library even if you do not download it immediately. Its Player Support guidance directs players to the Free Games page for current promotions and notes that Support cannot provide advance details of upcoming weekly games.
