The Epic Games Store MEGA Sale ran from May 16, 2024, at 11 a.m. ET to June 13, 2024, at 11 a.m. ET. It combined store discounts with weekly free Vault games, separate giveaways and a 5% Epic Rewards offer on eligible purchases. The event has ended; its 2024 games and prices are no longer claimable through that promotion.

What free games were available?
Epic said it would release an iconic free game from the Vault each week. Its announcement put it this way: “Along with the deals, we’ll be releasing an iconic free game from the Vault every week during the sale, as well as giveaways for some of the biggest titles in our store.” The verified examples below show two claim periods; they do not represent a complete lineup.
| Game | Claim window | What Epic highlighted |
|---|---|---|
| Dragon Age: Inquisition—Game of the Year Edition | May 16–23, 2024 (US Eastern time) | Epic described this edition as including all DLC. Epic’s offer announcement |

What other giveaways did Epic offer?
The promotion included extras beyond full PC games. In its May 16, 2024 giveaway announcement, Epic wrote: “There’s more in store than big discounts and free games during the Epic MEGA Sale—we also have giveaways!” The listed offers included:
- One month of Discord Nitro for eligible new and returning users.
- Cosmetics for Fortnite and Fall Guys.
- In-game items for several games.
- Temporary access to RPG Maker Unite.
Epic said the listed offers ended June 13, 2024, at 11 a.m. EDT. Requirements varied by offer: Epic directed readers to the FAQ on each store page for redemption details, so the announcement does not establish that every giveaway had the same eligibility or claim process. How did Epic Rewards work during the 2024 sale?
Epic’s 2024 launch post said eligible purchases earned 5% back into an Epic Rewards balance, which could be spent on games, DLC and more. This is the rate stated for the 2024 promotion; it should not be taken as a statement of today’s Rewards terms.
Were there specific sale prices or a maximum discount?
Epic’s cited sale announcements establish that discounts were part of the event, but do not establish individual sale prices, discount percentages or a sale-wide maximum. No specific savings figure can be stated from those announcements.

Can you still claim the 2024 offers?
No. The sale and the associated giveaway claim period ended in June 2024. The free-game windows listed above also closed in 2024, so this is a retrospective guide rather than a live offer list.
