Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How Epic’s weekly free-game claims generally work
Epic’s support guidance says the store typically offers a new free game every Thursday at 8 a.m. PT, with each offer available for seven days. A claimed game remains in the account even if it is not downloaded immediately. Epic also says an Epic Games account with two-factor authentication enabled is required. This is general support guidance, not a verification of every regional term for the 2025 Mortal Shell promotion.
For current promotions, check the Epic Games Store free games page, which changes as offers rotate. It does not establish the terms of the expired March 2025 giveaway. Epic’s help page explains its weekly free-game program.
