Escape from Tarkov update 0.15.5.0 added stash pinning and locking, two MPS Auto Assault-12 automatic shotguns, new bipod mounts, and attachments for several rifles. The update is historical: the official Steam announcements list Patch 1.2.0.0, dated 6 October 2026, as a later release. The details below about 0.15.5.0 come from a community reproduction of its patch notes that links to the official notice.
How do you lock items in Tarkov?
In update 0.15.5.0, use an item’s right-click context menu to pin or lock it. The notes also identify a configurable L hotkey for locking. Pinning and locking serve different purposes, so choose based on whether you want to preserve stash organization or prevent item actions.
Pinning: protect stash layout from auto-sort
A pinned item is skipped by automatic sorting, but you can still move it manually. Its pinned status ends if you move it into your inventory or when a raid begins. A pinned status can persist while the item is stored inside a container.
Locking: restrict item actions
A locked item cannot be deleted, sold, moved, or used, with opening containers as the stated exception. Locked items are also excluded from crafting, upgrades, selling, bartering, and weapon builds. The reproduced notes say locked status can persist while an item is inside a container.

The reproduced patch notes list two automatic shotguns:
- MPS Auto Assault-12 Gen 1
- MPS Auto Assault-12 Gen 2
These are in-game additions named by the patch notes; the notes do not establish real-world compatibility or performance.

What other weapon equipment did the patch add?
Bipod mounts
The update added mounts for installing bipods on more weapons:
- Magpul M-LOK Bipod Mount
- Odin Works K-Pod KeyMod bipod adapter
- AI AXMC KeySlot Harris bipod mount
Rifle attachments
The notes also list attachments for SCAR, G36, and AUG rifles. They do not specify further attachment details in the reproduced text.

Which Tarkov patch added item locking?
The item-locking and pinning functions described here arrived in update 0.15.5.0. Do not confuse that stash feature with the locked map containers mentioned in the later Patch 1.2.0.0 announcement.
What Patch 1.2.0.0 says about locked containers
The official Steam announcement dated 6 October 2026 says locked containers on Customs and Interchange are guaranteed to contain loot. It also lists new loot locations and two Customs keys: ZB-1013 Key and Guard Post Key. These are map and loot changes, not the stash item-lock function from 0.15.5.0. The same announcement covers PvE bot relations and behavior, a PvE Prestige system with six levels, quality-of-life changes, Shoreline environmental audio, and fixes.
