Battlestate Games announced that Escape from Tarkov’s 0.15.0.0 update and wipe would arrive on August 20, 2024. That date has passed. The studio’s trailer, published August 14, promoted a reworked Factory, new guns, and the new boss Partisan; contemporary reporting also pointed to tripwires and other possible changes in the footage.
When did the Escape from Tarkov 0.15 wipe happen?
Battlestate Games announced Patch 0.15.0.0 for Escape from Tarkov, alongside Patch 0.2.0.0 for Escape from Tarkov: Arena, for August 20, 2024, and said the release would include a wipe. The studio later posted installation timing and again confirmed the wipe on its official Telegram channel. These were announcements about a 2024 release, not a future wipe date.
What did the 0.15 trailer confirm?
Battlestate Games published the trailer on its verified YouTube channel on August 14, 2024. Its description promoted “the reworked location – Factory, new variety of guns, new boss – Partisan as well as much more new content.” That wording establishes the features the studio chose to highlight, but it is not a complete list of everything in the update.
Factory, weapons, and Partisan
The developer’s description specifically names a reworked Factory location, a new variety of guns, and Partisan as a new boss. It does not enumerate the weapons or explain the extent of Factory’s changes. Watch the official 0.15 trailer for the footage Battlestate published.

What else appeared in the footage?
In an August 14, 2024 report, Forbes contributor Mike Stubbs described footage showing Partisan, tripwire grenades, Factory, and new or remodeled weapons. Stubbs interpreted some scenes as possibly indicating that players could use tripwires; that is a reporter’s reading of the trailer, not a feature confirmed by the developer’s short description.
The same report raised possible lighting changes or changes to Ground Zero, while treating those details as uncertain. The available trailer description does not confirm either interpretation. See Stubbs’s contemporary Forbes report for those observations.

What the announcement does not establish
The trailer description is promotional rather than a full set of patch notes. It supports the named highlights above, but not a comprehensive account of 0.15’s contents. Battlestate’s patch-notes link was not accessible in the cited reporting, so this article does not present itself as a full patch breakdown.
