Yes—Battlestate Games said Escape from Tarkov would continue receiving content after version 1.0. In a November 14, 2025 interview, Game Director Nikita Buyanov named “Scav Life” as the first expected DLC and also discussed new locations and major events. Those were plans announced before 1.0 launched, not confirmation that the content has since been released.
What post-1.0 content did Battlestate Games plan?
Buyanov described a continued development roadmap in an interview published November 14, 2025, the day before the outlet reported Tarkov’s 1.0 launch. The clearest named item was “Scav Life,” the first DLC players could expect after release. He also referred to a broad planning horizon that included new locations and major events. What is Scav Life?
Scav Life was described as a story told from the Scavs’ perspective, with their own small Hideout and opportunities for progression. That makes it more specific than the broad references to locations and events: the interview gives a name and a basic concept for this DLC, but not a launch date or a complete feature list. The available interview text cuts off before Buyanov’s answer is complete, so there is no complete direct quotation to reproduce.
Are new Tarkov maps and events confirmed?
New locations and major events were part of the post-1.0 plans Buyanov discussed, but the interview did not identify particular locations, describe event formats, or provide a schedule. A September 26, 2025 Insider Gaming report on a Tokyo Game Show Q&A also described plans for DLC, new maps, more intense events, seasonal wipes, and a new story. These are reports of the studio’s pre-launch intentions, not a delivery calendar.

What is known—and not known—about timing?
The statements in these reports were made before version 1.0 launched. The reviewed accounts do not establish whether Scav Life, additional locations, or the other planned content have since shipped, nor do they give release dates. Treat them as announced plans rather than a current list of available features.
