Escape from Tarkov’s April 3, 2024 update was patch 0.14.5.0. It introduced an early-spring version of the seasons system, added a BTR-82A route on Woods, and split Ground Zero matchmaking into level-based beginner and experienced groups. It also expanded the ammo and Skills interfaces and included audio, gameplay, and performance fixes. Battlestate Games announced the installation and its completion on its official Telegram channel.
What was in the April 3, 2024 Tarkov update?
Version 0.14.5.0 grouped its main changes into five areas: seasonal presentation, BTR transport on Woods, Ground Zero access and matchmaking, more detailed in-game information, and fixes to sound, gameplay, and performance. The patch notes were reproduced on Reddit, with a link to the official patch page; the detailed change descriptions below reflect those notes rather than independent testing.
What did the seasons system add?
This update began the first iteration of Tarkov’s seasons system. The season included in 0.14.5.0 was early spring, which changed location visuals, ambient sound, and weather effects. The notes said other calendar seasons would arrive in future updates, so this patch did not add all four seasons at once.

The patch described a more detailed suspension system for rough terrain and opened the Northern and Southern UN Roadblock gates so the vehicle could drive beyond Woods. The notes warn that areas outside those gates are under sniper fire. They also added a sound signal before the BTR departs a stop and reduced outside sound while a player is inside it.
How did Ground Zero change?
Separate matchmaking by level
Ground Zero became available to all players without a level restriction, but PMC matchmaking was divided into two groups: beginners at level 20 and below, and experienced players at level 21 and above. If any member of a group was above level 20, the game warned the group when it selected experienced-player Ground Zero. Scav matchmaking and co-op practice access remained independent of level.

Daily and weekly tasks were also added for the map.
