What has been confirmed about Escape from Tarkov on consoles?
Battlestate Games confirmed console development in connection with its Tokyo Game Show 2025 recap, according to Insider Gaming’s report. The developer’s official Telegram channel linked the aftermovie and described it as including an interview with studio head Nikita Buyanov about the Tarkov universe and the studio’s plans.
The announcement establishes that the main Escape from Tarkov is being developed for consoles. It does not establish which consoles will receive it or when it will be available.
Is Escape from Tarkov coming to PS5 or Xbox?
The cited report did not name any platforms. PlayStation and Xbox have not been confirmed in that report, so claims that the game is definitely coming to PS5, Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S go beyond what it says.

When will the console version release, and how much will it cost?
The cited report said that neither a release window nor pricing had been announced. There is no confirmed console launch date or price to share on that basis.
Will the console version preserve the PC game’s experience?
Buyanov described preserving the core experience as the goal, saying: “The main goal is to create the same experience for the consoles, so there won’t be any kind of aim assist, any simplifiying of the gaming features.” The spelling in the quotation is as published by Insider Gaming. This is a stated intention, not a final feature specification.

He also identified controls as a major challenge: “The main challenge will be to put in all the controls. It will be the main challenge for us, but in general, I think it will be pretty interesting to do.” Buyanov also said the game would need optimization for current-generation consoles. The comments identify development challenges; they do not settle how the controls, performance or cross-play will work.

No. The official Escape from Tarkov: Arena FAQ says Arena would remain PC-only at least until its full release. That statement is about Arena, a separate game; it does not contradict the separately reported console development of the main Escape from Tarkov.
