Step-by-step: check a map lock without using cheats

Common failure cases and the correct response
The map is listed in a guide but missing in the client
Check whether the guide covers a different patch, a different mode, or a limited event. Then read the current in-game lock message and official notes. Do not assume that a third-party map list proves universal access.
The Lightkeeper-related task does not appear
Recheck the conditions described for your version: the required Lighthouse and Tour progression, trader loyalty other than Fence and Ref, and the Mechanic conversation. A website promises a map unlock after a download
Close it. A download, browser extension, “injector,” or bot is not a legitimate progression step. Change your password from an official account page if you entered credentials, enable available account security controls, and contact official support through the normal channel.
The community map disagrees with the game
Prefer the live client and official patch information for access and task conditions. Keep the community map for spatial orientation, then report outdated data to its maintainers if that option exists.
