Battlestate Games scheduled Escape from Tarkov patch 0.14.1.0 for February 12, 2024, with about four hours of expected downtime. The developer did not confirm snow removal in its announcement: that expectation came from a forecast image that contemporary coverage interpreted as signaling a change in weather.
Was snow removal confirmed for patch 0.14.1.0?
No. Battlestate Games’ February 11, 2024 announcement gave the installation schedule and downtime but did not say that snow would be removed. The snow claim was an inference from a weather-forecast image included with the announcement, not a confirmed item in the developer’s stated patch details. Forbes contributor Mike Stubbs reported that the image suggested a move from snowy to cloudy conditions and described snow removal as likely. That supports the expectation at the time, but it does not establish what the final patch changed. Forbes’ February 11, 2024 report
When was the update scheduled, and how long was maintenance expected to last?
Battlestate Games planned to begin installing patch 0.14.1.0 on February 12, 2024, at 7:00 AM GMT / 2:00 AM EST. The developer estimated approximately four hours, said the period could be extended if required, and warned that the game would be inaccessible during installation. These were the announced schedule and estimate, not a guarantee of the actual completion time. Battlestate Games’ official English Telegram channel

What is known about the final snow change?
The official patch-notes page linked by Battlestate Games could not be verified here, so whether patch 0.14.1.0 actually removed snow is not established by the available evidence. The firm facts are the announced maintenance and the weather image that led to the contemporary prediction; the prediction should not be presented as a confirmed developer statement.
This was a February 2024 announcement, not a current maintenance notice. “Starting tomorrow” referred to February 12, 2024, when the developer posted its schedule on February 11.
