What the April 2024 trailer announced
The verified Battlestate Games YouTube channel published The Unheard Edition trailer on April 25, 2024. Its description introduced the edition and promoted co-op PvE with persistent progression, stating that this progression would not be reset with wipes. It also named an enhanced 10×72 stash, a unique in-game ID, an armband, and additional features. These are details from the dated trailer announcement, not a guarantee that every benefit or eligibility rule remains unchanged.
How the Steam listings differ
Steam has separate listings for an Unheard Steam Edition Expansion Pack and an Unheard Edition bundle. They should not be treated as interchangeable: the expansion pack is explicitly an add-on for the Steam base game, while the bundle listing identifies PvE Zone mode among its contents.
| Product and source | What the listing says | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Escape from Tarkov – The Unheard Steam Edition Expansion Pack | Steam lists a Gamma secure container, expanded 10×72 stash, expanded PMC pockets, trader loyalty bonus, M48 Tactical Kukri, Cultist Jacket, and other named benefits. | Listed as released May 20, 2026. Requires the Escape from Tarkov base game on Steam and does not include the Season Pass. |
| Unheard Edition bundle | The separate Steam bundle page lists PvE Zone mode and Unheard Edition bundle contents. | Check the live page for current availability, region-specific price, sale status, and exact bundle contents; these can change. |
What to check before buying
- Platform and prerequisite: If considering the Expansion Pack, confirm that you own the Escape from Tarkov base game on Steam, as the listing requires it.
- Season Pass: The Expansion Pack listing says the Season Pass is not included. Do not assume the bundle has the same contents; inspect its live contents separately.
- Price and promotion: Steam prices and discounts can vary by region and date. The official Escape from Tarkov Telegram channel also carries promotions and game announcements, so a past offer should not be read as a current price.
- In-game eligibility: A developer-team statement mirrored by Escape from Tarkov Dev Tracker described changes to edition benefits, including quest access to some items and expanded pockets for owners of other editions. That dated, secondary-mirrored statement does not establish every current eligibility rule; consult current official patch notes for the rules in force in-game.
How to read the trailer alongside current listings
The trailer is a historical announcement from April 2024; Steam’s expansion listing is a later product page, dated May 20, 2026. The trailer description explains what Battlestate promoted at reveal, while each live Steam page is the relevant source for that product’s current contents and purchase terms. Because edition benefits and promotions can change, neither the trailer nor an old promotion should substitute for checking the current storefront and official game updates.
