A launch-day start appeared in PC Gamer’s November 2025 guide only as an assumption—not a confirmed date.
What was reported about Drops at launch?
In a November 12, 2025 video, Escape from Tarkov creator Airwingmarine reported that Battlestate Games had announced Drops for the 1.0 release, describing the campaign as involving free and paid rewards. That is secondary reporting, not the campaign’s official terms. Airwingmarine’s video
PC Gamer’s November 14, 2025 launch guide anticipated Drops beginning on the same day as the game launch, but explicitly framed that timing as an assumption. It should not be treated as an official schedule. PC Gamer’s launch guide
What is not confirmed about the 1.0 campaign?
The available launch coverage does not verify the campaign’s exact dates, reward list, viewing thresholds, eligible Twitch channels, or any conditions for paid rewards. There is also no verified launch-specific statement from a named developer or official announcement to establish those details. Do not rely on the later event’s rules as a substitute.

How can players check for an active Escape from Tarkov Drops campaign?
For a current or future event, check the official Escape from Tarkov profile and Twitch’s Drops listing for the campaign’s own dates, eligibility, account-linking steps, and reward conditions. Drops are a digital promotion; no physical product is needed to participate. The evidence available here does not establish whether any historical launch rewards can still be claimed.
Why later Drops rules do not confirm launch terms
Escape from Tarkov’s August 4, 2026 announcement described a separate season-one campaign, not the 1.0 launch event. It scheduled global Drops for August 5–17, 2026, with Common, Rare, and Epic containers. That event required a Twitch account, an active game copy, and linked accounts; its containers applied only to seasonal characters. Official season-one announcement

The same 2026 announcement said that five paid subscriptions from August 5–8 could unlock three named items, with free subscriptions excluded. These dates, rewards, linking requirements, and subscription terms belong only to that later campaign and do not establish the 1.0 launch rules.

Twitch’s 2024 promotions roundup included Escape from Tarkov in Drops and Support a Streamer promotions. This shows that both promotion formats have existed for the game, but it does not verify the 1.0 launch campaign’s mechanics. Twitch’s 2024 roundup
