Escape from Tarkov players have unlocked the game’s “Savior” ending, a conclusion that hints at a fight against TerraGroup after Tarkov’s apparent destruction. That final beat invites sequel speculation, but the reported unlocks and dialogue are not an announcement of a sequel.
What was unlocked in Escape from Tarkov?
In a report published December 4, 2025, Insider Gaming called “Savior” the game’s best, or “good,” ending. The outlet reported that a Chinese streamer had captured the first PvP unlock, while Tsukinogi was the first PvE player to unlock it. Battlestate Games recognized Tsukinogi as the world’s first PvE unlock, according to the report.

The ending shows jets passing over Tarkov and what appears to be a nuclear warhead dropped on the city. The player character has escaped and receives a unique ring. A RUAF soldier then frames survival as the start of a reckoning with TerraGroup:

Does this confirm a Tarkov sequel?
No. Insider Gaming raised the possibility that the ending could point to future games or DLC in the Escape from Tarkov universe, but reported no confirmed sequel. The article mentions Battlestate Games’ work on other games and DLC in the context of that question; it does not identify a specific sequel project or announcement.

The distinction matters: the ending supplies a narrative direction, not evidence of a production plan. The survivors’ stated intent to confront TerraGroup could be continued in another game, DLC, or simply serve as the close of this story. The cited coverage does not establish which, if any, will happen.

What changed after the December 2025 report?
The December report describes the “Savior” ending as it stood when the story was published, not the complete current ending lineup. A SteamDB patch-note listing dated March 28, 2026 records an “alternate ending” added as a second ending. Separately, Notebookcheck’s December 2025 coverage described the v1.0-era rollout as having four endings. These later and contextual accounts do not establish a confirmed sequel or provide a sourced comparison of all ending routes.
