The game shows upcoming enemy actions and their projected results—timing, attack, target, and damage—before you commit your commands. You then choose actions that rewrite that forecast. The safest play is not always the action with the highest immediate damage; it is the command sequence that leaves the party in the best final timeline.
The explanations currently available come from Marvelous, the Steam description, and development director Katsuhisa Higuchi. Because the game has not released and there is no hands-on combat documentation, this is a guide to the announced system rather than a boss-by-boss manual.

What Future Sight does in Eternal Anima
Future Sight turns enemy intent into information you can act on. Instead of discovering an attack only after the enemy’s turn, you see a forecast of what is about to happen and can alter your commands before the sequence resolves.

Katsuhisa Higuchi, the game’s development director, describes the system this way: “In Eternal Anima‘s Future Sight Battles, you can see in advance when enemies will attack, what attacks they will use, who will take damage, and how much.” That description establishes four useful pieces of information:

- Timing: when an enemy action is scheduled in the visible sequence.
- Action: the attack or other enemy command that is expected.
- Target: the party member projected to receive the effect.
- Result: the predicted damage or other displayed outcome.
The official description presents this as a rewriteable future, not a passive initiative bar. You can respond to the forecast by defending, preparing, defeating the enemy before it acts, moving its action later, cancelling it when the command allows, or exploiting a weakness that changes the sequence. The objective is to make the displayed outcome safer before confirming the turn.
Marvelous and the Steam listing both frame Future Sight as the defining loop of the game’s turn-based command battles: observe the future, issue commands, and change what would otherwise happen. The published material does not establish whether every enemy action is always visible, how far ahead the display reaches, or whether a forecast can ever be wrong.
How to read a battle vision
Read the forecast in sequence. Do not start by choosing the largest attack button. First determine whether the projected timeline contains an event that can make the turn unsafe.
1. Find the earliest dangerous action
Scan from the beginning of the projected order and identify the first enemy action that could cause a failure state. A lethal hit is the obvious danger, but a disabling or otherwise fight-changing action may also be more urgent than a later, larger damage number.
“Earliest” matters because a later plan may never happen if the party loses a character or cannot act after the first threat. Treat the first unsafe event as the problem to solve, then inspect what follows after your proposed commands.
2. Check the target and predicted result
Confirm who will be hit and how much damage is shown. Compare that result with the target’s current HP, defensive state, and the recovery options your available commands provide. A forecast that looks dramatic may be survivable for a protected character; a smaller number may be fatal to a weakened one.
Do not read damage in isolation. The target can determine whether defending is sufficient, whether another character must provide recovery, or whether the attacker has to be removed before the action occurs.

3. Test a command that changes the forecast
Choose a command specifically because it changes the projected sequence. Depending on the situation and the command’s requirements, that may mean:
- defending or preparing to reduce the consequence;
- defeating the enemy before its scheduled action;
- striking before the enemy acts;
- delaying the enemy so allies can act first;
- cancelling the enemy’s next action; or
- using a weakness or Break interaction that pushes the action later or removes it.
The published material confirms these categories, but it does not provide a universal command list, resource costs, target rules, or success percentages for every option.
4. Recheck the entire projected sequence
After selecting a planned command or combination, inspect the forecast again. The correct question is not “Did this attack deal the most damage?” It is “What does the final timeline look like after the commands I intend to use?”
A command that appears weaker can be superior if it removes a lethal action, gives an ally time to recover, or leaves the party with a safer next forecast. Stop adjusting only when the dangerous event has been removed, made survivable, or moved to a point where the party can handle it.
What to do when the vision says a character will die
When the displayed result is lethal, treat the forecast as a problem to erase rather than an outcome to accept. Start with the command that most directly removes the source of the damage.
Eliminate the attacker
Defeating the threatening enemy before its turn is the clearest counter. Higuchi’s published example specifically describes focusing on a powerful enemy first so that its predicted damaging attack never occurs. This is often better than distributing damage across several targets when one enemy is responsible for the fatal event.
Check whether your available actions can defeat that enemy before the scheduled attack and whether doing so changes the rest of the forecast. If the attack disappears because its source is gone, the avoided damage is more valuable than a larger number against a harmless target.

Cancel the action
If the available command can cancel the enemy’s next action, cancellation removes the event without requiring the attacker to be defeated. Use it when the canceling command is valid for that enemy and action. The game’s published material does not say that every attack is cancellable, nor does it publish a universal cancellation list or interrupt chance, so do not assume the option works in every vision.
Delay the action
Delaying can turn an unavoidable death into a manageable sequence by moving the enemy’s turn behind an ally’s attack or recovery command. The exact distance an action moves has not been published. After selecting delay, read the revised order to verify that the threatening action really occurs late enough for the party to respond.
Defend, prepare, or recover
If the projected hit becomes survivable through a defensive or preparation command, that may be the correct solution even when the enemy remains alive. Compare the reduced result with current HP and available recovery. A defensive turn is successful when it leaves the target alive and the next forecast stable; it does not need to produce damage immediately.
Use a weakness or Break interaction
Secondary system documentation says that hitting a weakness can push an enemy action later and that pushing it far enough can remove the action. The threshold and formula are not published. Treat weakness and Break as timeline tools, then verify the result in the forecast instead of relying on an assumed number of hits.
Choosing among defense, offense, delay, and cancellation
Use the following comparison to choose the response that fits the displayed threat. “Removal” means the predicted event no longer resolves; “endurance” means the event still occurs but the party survives it.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems| Response | What it does to the threat | When it is usually appropriate | What to verify |
|---|---|---|---|
| Defend or prepare | Reduces or manages the incoming result; the enemy may still act. | The predicted hit is survivable and safety is worth giving up immediate damage. | The revised damage, the target’s remaining HP, and the next enemy action. |
| Defeat or pre-empt | Removes the attacker or acts before its scheduled turn, preventing its forecast action. | A single enemy creates a lethal or disabling event and can be defeated in time. | Whether the attacker is actually removed before acting and how the remaining enemies reorder. |
| Delay | Moves the enemy action later in the sequence. | An ally needs time to attack, recover, or prepare before the threat returns. | How far the action moved and whether another dangerous action now comes first. |
| Cancel | Removes the enemy’s next action when the command supports cancellation. | The action is cancellable and eliminating it is more reliable than enduring it. | Whether the selected enemy and action can be cancelled; no universal rule has been published. |
| Weakness or Break | Can push an enemy action later and may remove it if pushed far enough. | The matchup makes weakness exploitation efficient and the revised order is favorable. | Whether the action moved or disappeared; exact thresholds and formulas are unknown. |
Two questions resolve most close decisions: Is the threat removed or merely endured? and What does the party’s next forecast look like? A low-damage cancellation can be stronger than a high-damage attack if the high-damage option leaves a character dead. Conversely, spending a command to cancel a hit that the party can comfortably survive may waste an opportunity to remove a more dangerous enemy later in the sequence.

A lethal attack from a powerful enemy
- Read the vision and identify the powerful enemy’s attack, target, and predicted damage.
- Confirm that the target cannot survive the displayed result in the current state.
- Check whether your party can defeat that enemy before its scheduled action. If so, focus commands on that enemy rather than spreading damage.
- Recheck the forecast. If the enemy disappears before acting, confirm that no replacement action has become the new earliest danger.
If defeat is not possible, test cancellation, delay, and defense in that order only as a decision aid—not as a universal priority. Choose whichever revised timeline keeps the target alive and gives the party a workable next turn.
A survivable hit with a more dangerous action behind it
Suppose the first projected hit can be endured but a later enemy action would leave the party in a worse position. Defending against the first hit may be safe but strategically poor if it consumes the command needed to address the later event. Compare the complete revised forecast after attacking, delaying, or exploiting a weakness. The best action may be the one that leaves the first hit in place while removing the later danger.

When several enemies are visible, rank them by the earliest unsafe action, not by their remaining HP alone. Removing a low-HP enemy that acts after the lethal attacker does not solve the turn. Select the command sequence that changes the first dangerous event, then reassess the order of the surviving enemies.
A delay that appears to solve the problem
After using delay, inspect the exact revised order shown by the game. If the enemy moved behind a recovery action, the command may have converted a death into a stable turn. If it moved only slightly and still acts before recovery, delay has not solved the original problem. The game has not published a fixed number of positions or time units for delay, so the forecast itself is the authority.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How weakness and Break fit into the forecast
Weakness exploitation is more than a damage tactic in Future Sight. Secondary system documentation reports that a weakness hit can push an enemy action later and that pushing it far enough can remove that action altogether. In practical terms, a weakness attack can serve the same timeline goal as delay or cancellation, provided the displayed sequence confirms the change.
Do not assume that one weakness hit always removes an action. No threshold, formula, or universal Break requirement has been published. Test the command, inspect how far the enemy action moved, and continue only if the revised order produces the result you need.

- Compatible with Wide Screens - To ensure compatibility with the dual monitor mount, your each monitor must meet three conditions at the same time: First, computer screens size range: 13 to 32 inches. Second, screen weight range: 4.4 to 19.8 lbs. Third, the back of the monitor screen must have VESA mounting holes with a pitch of 75x75mm or 100x100mm.
- Regarding the compatibility with desks - Your desk must meet three conditions at the same time: First, desk material: Only wooden desks are recommended, plastic or glass desks cannot be used. Second, desk thickness range: 0.59" - 3.54". Third, the bottom of the desk should not have any cross beams or panels, as this will interfere with installation. We recommend carefully checking that your desk and monitors meets all above conditions before purchasing.
- Dual C-Clamp Hold - Worried your dual monitors might wobble or slip? Our upgraded base uses a larger platform plus a dual C-clamp structure to lock the dual monitor arm firmly to your desk. Each arm safely keeps your screens steady while you type, click and game—no shaking, no sliding, just a clean and secure setup you can trust every day. It also provides Grommet Mounting installation choice, both options ensure stable and secure fixation for your 0.59" - 3.54" desk.

Built-in cable management guides wires along the arms, keeping cords out of sight and out of the way. Enjoy a tidy, modern workstation that looks as good as it feels to use.
- the immediate damage dealt;
- how much the enemy action moved or whether it vanished; and
- whether the party can survive the resulting sequence.
A weakness interaction that postpones an attack but leaves it before recovery may be less useful than a defensive command. One that removes the action entirely may be the strongest answer even if its damage is modest.
Command sequencing: why the first choice is not always the final answer
Future Sight rewards planning several commands together. The first command can alter enemy timing, which changes the value of every command after it. For example, defeating one enemy may cause another enemy to become the earliest action; delaying an attacker may give an ally time to recover but expose a different character; and a weakness hit may move an action far enough that a later attack becomes the new priority.
Use a short loop:
- Read: locate the earliest unsafe event and record its target and projected result.
- Change: select the command that most directly removes, delays, cancels, or reduces that event.
- Re-read: inspect the new order and identify the next unsafe event, if any.
- Commit: choose the sequence whose final forecast leaves the party in the strongest state for the following turn.
This process prevents a common error: judging a command by its immediate animation or damage number before seeing what it does to the timeline.
What the published information confirms—and what remains unknown
Confirmed about Future Sight
- The system reveals upcoming enemy timing and predicted results.
- The forecast can include the enemy attack, its target, and the amount of damage expected.
- Players choose commands that can alter the displayed future.
- Defeating a dangerous enemy before it acts is an intended form of counterplay.
- Defend or prepare, delay, and cancel are described as relevant command categories.
- Weakness hits and Break can affect enemy action timing according to secondary system documentation.
- Future Sight is part of Eternal Anima’s turn-based command battles.
Not yet established
- How far ahead the forecast reaches.
- Whether every enemy action is always shown.
- A complete interface specification or final on-screen labels.
- Exact damage, delay, weakness, and Break formulas.
- Universal cancellation rules, eligible attacks, or interrupt chances.
- Whether a displayed prediction can ever be wrong.
- Exact resource, target, or status requirements for each command.
These gaps matter when planning detailed builds or encounter-specific solutions. Until the game and its final documentation are available, use the displayed forecast rather than assuming a fixed distance, threshold, or cancellation rule.
Common mistakes to avoid
Maximizing damage instead of changing the outcome
The largest immediate number is not automatically the best command. If it leaves a lethal attack in place, the damage has not solved the turn. Compare avoided damage and party survival with the attack’s direct output.
Ignoring the projected target
Two identical damage values can have different consequences depending on who is hit. Always identify the target before deciding whether to defend, recover, or attack the source.
Stopping after one favorable change
A command can remove one threat while exposing another. Recheck the complete order after every planned change and solve the next earliest unsafe event before committing.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?

Assuming delay or cancellation has a fixed rule
The available documentation does not publish a universal delay distance or list of cancellable attacks. Treat those effects as conditional and verify them in the current forecast.
Using weakness without checking Break results
A weakness hit may push an action later, but the published material does not establish the threshold for removing it. Read the revised sequence instead of assuming that a particular number of hits guarantees Break.
A practical checklist for every Future Sight turn
- Which enemy acts first?
- What attack or effect is projected?
- Who is the target?
- How much damage or danger is shown?
- Can the target survive with current HP, defenses, and recovery options?
- Can the attacker be defeated before acting?
- Is the action cancellable with an available command?
- Would delay give an ally time to attack, recover, or prepare?
- Can a weakness or Break interaction move or remove the action?
- What does the entire revised sequence look like after the command?
- Does the final timeline leave the party safer for the next forecast?
Bottom line: read the future as a set of problems to rewrite
Future Sight is actionable information. Start with the earliest dangerous enemy action, check its target and predicted result, then choose the command that produces the safest revised timeline. Defeat or pre-empt the attacker when possible; cancel or delay it when those commands apply; defend or prepare when the hit is survivable; and use weakness or Break when the forecast confirms that the action has moved or disappeared. Because Eternal Anima is unreleased, exact formulas and universal command rules remain unconfirmed, so the final projected sequence—not an assumed priority list—should decide every turn.
