Elyos requirements for Eternal Isle
1. Play an Elyos character
The database entry is explicitly marked for Elyos. If your character is Asmodian, searching the Elyos entry or traveling to the Elyos starting location will not establish access. Use the separate Immortal Isle quest described later in this guide.
2. Locate Ahtan in the Southwestern Tolbas Forest
The listed starting point is Ahtan at the cliff in the Southwestern Tolbas Forest. The location wording matters: the entry does not describe a city service, a general map button or an automatically unlocked teleport. Travel to that forest area and check the cliff for the NPC while the relevant quest is available to your character.
If Ahtan is not offering the quest, do not assume that the island itself is bugged. First verify the faction, the zone and the prerequisite status. A mismatch in any of those can prevent the quest from appearing even when your character is otherwise high enough for the content.
3. Complete Draupnir first
Draupnir is listed as a required quest for the Elyos entry. The requirement is best treated as a completed prerequisite, not merely a quest that has been accepted or partially progressed. Check the completed-quest portion of your client log before attempting to start the island route.

The available entry does not specify every objective in Draupnir, its quest giver, or whether the prerequisite is account-wide. Do not infer those details from the island page. If the client marks Draupnir incomplete, finish the version shown in your own quest log and then return to Ahtan.
4. Accept the island quest and follow the Windstream
Once the quest is active, its route uses a Windstream to reach Eternal Isle. The Windstream is part of the quest path described by the entry; it is not evidence that an unrelated flight, boat or map shortcut will work. Follow the travel instruction displayed by the client rather than selecting a destination associated with the Asmodian route.
Before leaving the forest, confirm that the quest is in your active tracker and that the destination text names Eternal Isle. This simple check prevents a common faction mix-up: an Asmodian quest can also refer to a Windstream while sending the character to Immortal Isle.
5. Collect one Eternal Drana Mutant bio-specimen
The listed island objective is a single Eternal Drana Mutant bio-specimen. “One” is the quantity stated by the entry. Use the quest tracker to identify the qualifying creature or interaction and wait for the collection counter to update before leaving the island.

The wording does not establish that every Drana Mutant variant counts. If a kill or interaction produces no progress, compare the target name with the objective exactly, check that the quest is active, and look for the specific specimen interaction indicated in the client. The database does not provide a broader drop table or an alternate source.
What level do you need?
Why the level fields conflict
The Elyos page carries two different labels: “Level 10 Elyos” and “Recommended level 45.” A level-10 label can describe the quest’s classification or minimum-level metadata, while a recommended level can describe the publisher’s suggested point for attempting it. The page does not explain the relationship between those fields.
Consequently, level 45 should be reported as a recommendation, not as a verified island-entry requirement. There is no confirmed evidence in the reviewed material that the game blocks the Windstream at level 44, nor that every character at level 45 is automatically eligible.

How to use that information in practice
- If you are below 45, check whether the quest appears and whether the client permits the Windstream. The database conflict means you should not treat the recommendation alone as a lockout.
- If you are 45 or higher but cannot start the route, level is not the only possible explanation. Recheck faction, location and Draupnir completion before assuming a server problem.
- Use the recommendation as a planning signal rather than a guarantee. It may indicate the intended point to attempt the content, but the source does not establish why that level was chosen.
Do not advertise level 45 as “the requirement” without qualification. That wording would turn an unresolved database field into a hard rule that the available evidence does not support.

Asmodian access: Immortal Isle, not Eternal Isle
The counterpart quest
Asmodians have a separate entry titled “Immortal Isle’s Distinct Ecology.” It is associated with Nivena and the Immortal Isle. The entry describes a Windstream route and asks for an Immortal Isle Drana Mutant specimen.
What this means for troubleshooting
An Asmodian character should not be sent to Ahtan in the Southwestern Tolbas Forest to obtain the Elyos route. Conversely, an Elyos player should not use Nivena’s counterpart as evidence that Eternal Isle is unavailable. The two entries share a travel method and a Drana Mutant theme, but they identify different factions, NPCs, destinations and specimen names.
The reviewed Asmodian information does not establish a hard level threshold equivalent to the disputed Elyos fields. Check the in-game Asmodian quest text for any current level or prerequisite wording rather than transferring the Elyos recommendation across factions.
A practical preflight checklist
Use this checklist before spending time searching the island or repeatedly relogging:

- Confirm the character’s faction.
- For Elyos, travel to the cliff in the Southwestern Tolbas Forest and look for Ahtan. For Asmodians, look for the counterpart quest associated with Nivena instead.
- Open the quest log and verify whether Draupnir is recorded as completed on the Elyos route.
- Accept the correct faction quest and read its destination text before traveling.
- Use the Windstream named by the active quest.
- On the island, confirm that the objective names the correct Drana Mutant specimen and that the collection count advances to one.
- If any step differs from these labels, record the exact client wording and follow it over an older or conflicting database field.
Troubleshooting when Eternal Isle does not unlock
Ahtan is missing or has no quest
- Check that the character is Elyos and physically in the Southwestern Tolbas Forest, not merely viewing the zone on the map.
- Verify that Draupnir is complete rather than active, failed or abandoned.
- Look for another prerequisite marker in the live quest log. The database names Draupnir, but it does not claim to list every condition that a later client might add.
- Leave and re-enter the area, then reopen the quest list. This can refresh a visible NPC state without changing your progression.
- If the client still disagrees, preserve the in-game wording; a patch change is more plausible than a level-45 lock based solely on the conflicting database labels.
The Windstream is unavailable
Make sure the island quest is currently tracked and that you are interacting with the Windstream indicated by that quest. Do not substitute a route from the other faction’s entry. If the objective remains active but the travel interaction is absent, check whether the client has inserted a step that the database page does not show.
The specimen does not count
Compare the creature or interaction name with the objective. Eternal Isle requires the Eternal Drana Mutant bio-specimen on the Elyos entry; the similarly worded Immortal Isle specimen belongs to the Asmodian counterpart. A different target, an inactive quest or an unconfirmed interaction will not necessarily advance the counter.
You meet the recommendation but still cannot proceed
Being at or above the displayed recommendation does not prove that all prerequisites are complete. Check faction, Ahtan or Nivena, the required prerequisite, quest status and the destination label in that order. The source does not establish level 45 as a universal gate, so do not skip those checks.

The detailed quest information comes from a fan-made database that reports AION 2 Global version 2.0.6.0 and a last update of October 8, 2026. Those details provide a useful snapshot, but quest requirements can change with game updates. The official AION 2 site confirms the broader live-game context; the material reviewed for this guide does not use that site to confirm Eternal Isle’s specific requirements.
For that reason, treat the database as a route reference and the live client as the authority for your character. If the client adds a prerequisite, changes an NPC, alters the Windstream interaction or removes the conflicting level label, use the current client text. When reporting a discrepancy to other players, include your faction, region or edition, character level, completed prerequisites and the exact quest wording. That information is more useful than simply saying that the island is locked.
