Enter the reservoir from the Forgotten Halls viewpoint or campfire, survive the arena encounter, reach the upper level, and search the platforms for a drop into a concealed room. A blue glow leads to the sword. Keep the wooden bridge or platform intact during the fight if possible; one guide reports that combat can break it and leave the later route inaccessible.
What the Everice Blade is and why the route is easy to miss
The Everice Blade is an epic, two-handed weapon concealed inside the Ruins Reservoir in Fatekeeper. It is not awarded at the end of the arena encounter and it is not sitting on the main path through the reservoir. The pickup is in a hidden room reached from above, which is why a complete clear of the visible arena does not automatically reveal it.

The reliable common ground among the available walkthroughs is the location chain: Forgotten Halls, then Ruins Reservoir, then the arena, then the upper platforms, followed by a drop into a secret room. The guides disagree on some landmarks and on how the arena should be handled, so treat the route below as a navigation framework rather than a frame-by-frame speedrun script. Platform geometry, breakable scenery and enemy behavior can change between builds.

Once collected, the weapon is reported as an ice-damage great weapon with a defensive ice bonus. That combination makes it most interesting for characters who can tolerate a heavier attack rhythm and who benefit from elemental resistance. The published material does not include controlled tests against other weapons, so the guide can establish the blade’s listed attributes and acquisition route, but not a universal damage ranking.

Before you enter the Ruins Reservoir
Use the Forgotten Halls viewpoint as your starting reference
Begin at the Forgotten Halls viewpoint or campfire. The walkthroughs use that landmark because it gives a consistent approach to the reservoir and a recovery point before the arena. If your current build labels the checkpoint differently, use the Forgotten Halls fast-travel location that leads into the reservoir zone.
Make a recovery plan
The arena and the platform section are connected in the guides, so a failed attempt can cost more than the fight itself. Arrive with the healing, stamina and equipment setup you normally use for a difficult encounter. Do not spend your entire stamina reserve on exploratory attacks immediately before the arena; the weapon hunt requires movement across platforms after the fight, and the reported Everice Blade itself also has stamina costs for attacks and dashes.
Know what the current build may change
All substantive walkthroughs located for this route were secondary guides published in June 2026. The item listing is community-maintained and records patch-history changes through version 0.1.3. No official developer route guide or official patch note was identified for the secret room. If a bridge, enemy placement or platform behaves differently in your version, trust the geometry you can see and re-check the current item screen rather than forcing an older sequence.
How to get the Everice Blade in Fatekeeper
- Travel from Forgotten Halls to the Ruins Reservoir. Leave the viewpoint or campfire and follow the normal route into the reservoir. The guides describe fighting through the area rather than taking a separate early branch to the weapon.
- Reach the arena encounter. Continue until the reservoir opens into its arena section. The Everice Blade is not on the approach, so do not abandon the search because the first rooms contain no blue glow.
- Clear the encounter while protecting the route upward. During the fight, watch the wooden bridge or platform that connects the arena’s traversal space. GamesHorizon reports that combat near this structure can break it. GamesHedge also advises preserving the platform needed later and mentions using spike hazards during the fight. These are guide-reported hazards, not a guaranteed result on every build.
- Look for access to the upper level after the arena is clear. When enemies are defeated, stop searching the arena floor and inspect the walls, ledges and climbable or walkable approaches that lead upward. The guides agree that the blade’s room is reached from the upper section.
- Cross the upper platforms, rafters or planks. The landmark descriptions vary: one account emphasizes platforms, another refers to rafters and planks. Use whichever pieces are present in your version. Move slowly enough to identify the next safe landing instead of dropping to the lower floor.
- Find the concealed drop. From the upper route, search for a gap that descends into a room not visible from the arena. The drop is the key discovery; if every ledge returns you to the main floor, you have not reached the correct section.
- Follow the blue glow. Once inside the hidden room, use the blue light as your confirmation that you are in the right place. Follow it to the weapon pickup rather than looking for another arena reward chest.
- Collect the Everice Blade and verify the item card. Open your inventory after the pickup and confirm the epic rarity, two-handed grip, ice damage and ice-resistance bonus shown by your build. If the values differ, record the version before comparing the weapon with another item.
Handling the arena without losing the platform
Why the bridge warning matters
The route depends on reaching the upper section after the fight. A guide-reported failure mode is that combat close to a wooden bridge or platform can destroy it. If the structure is a required crossing in your layout, breaking it may remove the path to the hidden room even though the arena itself is complete.

This warning should be treated as a risk-management instruction, not as proof that every arena is permanently locked after one mistake. The available accounts do not establish whether the structure always breaks, whether it respawns, or whether another route remains in every version. If the bridge collapses, leave the arena, reload from the latest checkpoint if that is practical, and inspect the upper approach again before assuming the weapon is lost.
Use the environment deliberately
GamesHedge describes spike hazards as useful during the encounter and recommends preserving the platform needed for the later traversal. That advice implies a safer sequence: draw enemies away from the crossing, use environmental damage where it is available, and avoid turning the bridge into the center of the fight. Do not stand on a breakable section while trying to finish an enemy if you can relocate to stable ground.
Confirm the arena is actually finished
Do not climb immediately after defeating one prominent enemy. The upper route is easiest to inspect once the encounter has ended and no remaining threat can knock you from a platform. If the game has an encounter-clear signal, wait for it; otherwise make a short sweep of the arena perimeter before beginning the climb.
Finding the upper route when landmarks differ
Start with height, not a memorized object
The sources use different visual descriptions, including upper platforms, rafters and planks. Those terms may describe the same traversal space from different camera angles, or they may reflect layout changes. The invariant is vertical: the hidden room is below an upper traversal route and above the main arena floor. After the fight, identify every reachable elevation before committing to a drop.

Read the edges of each platform
Walk the perimeter of the upper platforms and look for a gap that exposes a lower, enclosed room. A normal descent to the arena floor is not the secret drop. The correct opening leads into a separate chamber whose walls block a direct view from the arena.
Use the glow as a late-stage check
The blue glow is described inside the concealed room, not as a beacon that guides the entire reservoir approach. Search for the opening first; once you are below the upper route, the glow should resolve the final few steps.
Do not assume a missing plank means a dead end
Because one guide calls out rafters and another emphasizes platforms, a missing named landmark does not necessarily mean the route is unavailable. Compare the shape of the room, the elevation and the existence of a concealed drop rather than relying on one object’s name. If your build has no safe-looking upper crossing, revisit the arena and check whether the bridge was destroyed.

What 45.0 Ice damage tells you
The published number identifies the blade’s listed base weapon damage and its elemental type. It does not, by itself, predict damage per second, stagger performance or the result against a particular enemy. Those outcomes depend on attack timing, upgrades, enemy defenses and the character setup, none of which are supplied as controlled comparisons.
What the +10% Ice Resistance bonus tells you
The defensive bonus is useful when the encounter or region makes ice damage a concern. It also gives the blade value outside of its attacks: a player can weigh the resistance against a weapon with a different elemental profile or defensive effect. The guides do not establish whether the resistance applies universally, only to a defined damage category, or interacts with another cap, so read the in-game tooltip for the exact rules in your version.
Account for stamina costs
Both the guides and Fatekeeper.tools report added stamina costs for attacks and dashes. That is the central trade-off to check before replacing a faster or lighter weapon. A character that spends stamina aggressively may lose mobility after a heavy attack, while a stamina-focused setup may absorb the cost more comfortably. Since the available material does not give one verified numeric cost for every action, make the decision from the current build’s tooltip and a short practice session rather than from an old listing alone.
Is the Everice Blade worth equipping?
Equip it when the ice damage, ice resistance and epic item tier address your current needs and you can maintain your preferred movement rhythm with its stamina demands. Keep another weapon available when mobility, rapid attacks or low-cost dashes matter more than elemental damage and resistance.

The guides describe the weapon as slower or heavier in feel, but that description is guide-reported rather than a firsthand measurement. No cited source supplies attack-speed frames, damage-per-stamina figures or a controlled test against another weapon. Treat handling as a practical observation to verify in your own build, not as a universal benchmark.
How to compare it with another weapon
Use the same four axes for both items and record the build and patch beside each result:
- Elemental damage: compare the listed type and damage value, then check whether the enemies you are fighting resist or receive that element.
- Attack handling: note how quickly the first attack starts, how long a committed swing lasts and whether recovery leaves enough time to evade. The published material does not provide frame data, so these are in-game observations.
- Stamina economy: compare attack and dash costs from the current tooltips. A lower listed damage number can still suit a stamina-limited build if it permits more attacks or escapes.
- Defensive value: include the Everice Blade’s +10% Ice Resistance when judging total survivability, rather than comparing attack damage alone.
A comparison that omits stamina and resistance will overstate the importance of the 45.0 damage listing. Conversely, a build designed around ice damage may value the blade more than a neutral damage comparison suggests.

Troubleshooting the Everice Blade route
The arena is clear, but no upper route is visible
- Return to the arena perimeter and check both sides of the wooden bridge or platform.
- Look for a climb, ramp or ledge that reaches the upper level rather than another doorway on the floor.
- Inspect whether the bridge broke during combat. If it did, reload the latest checkpoint when possible and repeat the encounter while keeping enemies away from the structure.
- Use the rafters-and-planks description as an alternate visual search: the names differ, but the intended destination is the elevated traversal area.
The upper platforms lead only back to the arena
- Do not drop from the first obvious edge. Continue across the upper route and inspect for a concealed opening into a separate room.
- Check the lower space beneath each platform for an enclosed chamber, not merely the open arena.
- If a platform is missing, consider a build difference or arena damage and revisit the crossing.
You reached a lower room but cannot find the weapon
- Confirm that the room is concealed from the arena and was reached by dropping from the upper route.
- Search for the blue glow; it is the reported visual confirmation of the pickup.
- If the room has no glow, you may have dropped into a normal lower section rather than the hidden chamber. Return to the upper platforms and search the next opening.
Your item card does not match 45.0 Ice damage or +10% resistance
Check the game’s displayed patch and the weapon’s current tooltip before treating the difference as an error. The community database records changes through version 0.1.3, and the available walkthroughs are from June 2026. A later balance update, a different edition or an upgraded item can produce a different display. Record the exact version when asking for help so that another player is not comparing a different build.
Version and evidence limits
The route is supported by three independent secondary walkthroughs that agree on the Forgotten Halls-to-Ruins Reservoir path, the arena, the upper platforms and the hidden-room drop. They do not agree on every mechanic or landmark, so this article deliberately separates shared route facts from guide-specific advice about spikes, rafters and a breakable bridge.
The numeric item attributes come from those guides and Fatekeeper.tools, a community-maintained database. Its page includes patch-history entries through 0.1.3, but the available material does not include an official developer route guide, official patch notes for the secret room or current edition information. Recheck the item card and the physical platform route after updates.
Quick checklist before you leave the reservoir
- Started from the Forgotten Halls viewpoint or campfire.
- Entered the Ruins Reservoir and reached the arena encounter.
- Kept the wooden bridge or required platform intact, or reloaded after it broke.
- Reached the upper level after clearing the arena.
- Crossed the platforms, rafters or planks and found a concealed drop.
- Followed the blue glow inside the hidden room.
- Confirmed the Everice Blade in the inventory.
- Checked rarity, grip, ice damage, resistance and current stamina costs against your build’s item card.
Final verdict
The Everice Blade is worth the detour for a player who wants an epic two-handed ice weapon and values the reported +10% Ice Resistance. The real challenge is preserving and recognizing the elevated route after the Ruins Reservoir arena, not winning a conventional reward fight. Because the platform hazard and exact landmarks vary across the published accounts, approach the arena conservatively, verify the hidden drop from above and use your current build’s tooltip for the final equipment decision.
