Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →There are no verified cheat codes for Everwind in the available Steam material. The useful route to progression is learning blueprints, looting the tutorial area, scanning the crashed airship, collecting parts and fuel, then reaching the Flying Ship Core by boat. The steps below follow Lord Gonzo’s player-made walkthrough, published March 19, 2026, and are labeled as community guidance rather than an official or independently tested solution. Everwind is still in Early Access, so recipes, controls and object locations can change between builds.
What “cheats” means in Everwind right now
Everwind is presented on Steam as an Early Access first-person RPG and sandbox-survival game. Its core loop combines gathering, crafting, looting, combat, exploration and construction of a flying ship. The store description says player feedback will guide development and that the developers anticipate at least a year in Early Access; that is an expectation, not a promised release date.

The available Steam guide listings contain categories for walkthroughs, gameplay basics, secrets, crafting, maps or levels, weapons and achievements, but they do not verify a functioning cheat-code list. Treat websites offering “console cheats,” save editors or guaranteed exploits cautiously unless a current, reproducible source confirms them. A patch can remove an exploit or make an old instruction unsafe for a save. For legitimate shortcuts, use blueprint discovery, route planning and material preparation instead.
Prepare on the starting island before you travel
The first major mistake is leaving the starting island as soon as the immediate tutorial objectives are complete. Lord Gonzo’s walkthrough recommends treating the island as a supply run: empty the tutorial tower, learn every available blueprint and gather enough basic materials to build transport and the first airship components before setting out.
#1 Best Overall
Loot the tutorial tower completely
Search every accessible container and room in the tutorial tower. The guide says to collect everything rather than taking only obvious quest items. This gives you a larger reserve of crafting ingredients and objects that can teach recipes. Because the walkthrough is player-authored, use it as a route suggestion and verify the result in your current build.
Turn ordinary objects into blueprints
According to the walkthrough, striking objects while unarmed can convert them into blueprints to learn. Try the interaction on furnishings and other loose objects before spending tools or ammunition. Once a blueprint appears, learn it immediately if the interface allows; otherwise record what you found and return to the crafting menu before moving on. The unarmed interaction is a guide-specific tip, not a guaranteed mechanic for every future patch.
Stock wood, fiber, rope and planks
Gather wood and fiber in quantity. The route uses fiber to craft rope and wood to craft planks, while extra wooden blocks provide the initial platform for the ship. Keep a reserve instead of converting every piece at once: wood is also needed as generator fuel after launch.
Break damaged containers for copper nails
The same guide reports that damaged barrels and boxes can yield copper nails when broken with an axe. Check visibly damaged containers during your sweep and carry the axe required for the interaction. Nail yields are not documented as fixed, so do not plan around an exact count; collect more than the minimum needed for your first construction attempt.
Scan the crashed airship to unlock recipes
After the starting-island sweep, find the crashed airship. Lord Gonzo’s route uses the compass to scan glowing components. The guide specifically names the cockpit, balloon, engine and generator. Scanning these parts is reported to unlock the corresponding recipes, making this a progression gate rather than optional sightseeing.
- Equip or activate the compass and approach the crashed ship.
- Look for a glowing component and keep the compass aimed at it until the scan registers.
- Repeat for the cockpit, balloon, engine and generator.
- Open the crafting interface and confirm that the newly learned recipes are available before leaving the wreck.
- Gather any missing wood, fiber, rope, planks or nails while you are still near the starting resources.
If a part does not register, move around the wreck and scan the visible component itself rather than the surrounding hull. Interface prompts and scan distances may change with updates, so rely on the current on-screen indicator if it differs from the guide.
Reach the Flying Ship Core by building a boat
The walkthrough says the Flying Ship Core is out on the water and cannot be obtained from the starting island. Its proposed route is to craft and launch a simple wooden boat, then paddle toward the waypoint leading to a small platform that holds the core.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute- Use the boat recipe you unlocked or already possess and assemble a wooden boat on a safe shoreline.
- Launch it in sufficiently deep water. Keep the shore clear so the hull does not catch on rocks or shallow ground.
- Paddle toward the waypoint and watch the compass rather than steering by the coastline alone.
- Approach the small platform carefully, disembark, and collect the Flying Ship Core.
- Return with the core and the materials you prepared; avoid starting the airship assembly until you have enough wood left for fuel and repairs or rebuilding.
This is one community route, not proof that every build requires an identical boat design. If the waypoint, platform or recipe has moved in your version, check the current objective marker and Steam’s latest community notes.
Build the first airship: parts, order and trade-offs
The guide’s suggested starter configuration is deliberately simple. It calls for a cockpit, an energy generator, a wooden engine, one or more wooden balloons and wooden pipes to connect the components. It recommends additional engines for speed and additional balloons for lift, while reserving wood to burn in the generator. No independent test establishes this as the only viable or optimal design.
| Part | Function in the community route | Practical build guidance | Qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cockpit | Mounting and piloting point | Place it where you can reach it easily from the platform. | The walkthrough lists the cockpit as a required starter component. |
| Energy generator | Provides powered operation when supplied with wood | Install it before launch and keep spare wood aboard as fuel. | Fuel behavior and consumption can change in Early Access. |
| Wooden engine | Propulsion | Begin with one engine; add engines when your priority is speed. | The extra-engine recommendation comes from the player guide, not a benchmark. |
| Wooden balloon | Lift | Add balloons when the ship cannot rise or carries a heavier load. | The guide recommends more balloons for lift; exact capacity is not stated. |
| Wooden pipes | Connect components in the suggested build | Reserve enough pieces to complete connections before adding cosmetic blocks. | The walkthrough says pipes are needed to connect components. |
| Wooden platform blocks | Basic hull and mounting surface | Build a compact, balanced platform first, then expand after a successful test. | The guide advises extra wooden blocks for the first platform. |
Recommended assembly sequence
- Lay down the wooden platform and leave room to walk between components.
- Mount the cockpit.
- Place the energy generator where it remains accessible for refueling.
- Install the wooden engine.
- Attach one or more wooden balloons so the lift is distributed rather than concentrated at one edge.
- Connect the components with wooden pipes.
- Put wood into the generator.
- Board the cockpit and test movement and altitude in an open area before adding more structure.
If the ship tilts, rises unevenly or fails to move, inspect connections and component placement before spending all remaining materials on additional parts. A compact test platform makes rebuilding cheaper than an elaborate first hull.

Controls for mounting, movement and altitude
Lord Gonzo’s March 19, 2026 walkthrough lists these controls: press E to mount the cockpit, use W and S to move forward and backward, press Space to rise and hold Shift to descend. These bindings are build-sensitive; confirm them in the current control menu if an input does nothing.
- E: mount the cockpit, according to the walkthrough.
- W/S: forward and backward movement.
- Space: gain altitude.
- Shift: descend.
Test each command while the ship is over a clear area. If the cockpit will not mount, check that it is connected to the platform and that you are aiming at the interaction point rather than a nearby pipe or balloon.
How to choose upgrades after the first flight
There is no verified numerical comparison of airship modules in the cited material, so upgrade decisions should be framed around the result you need rather than an invented tier list.
Choose engines when travel speed is the problem
The walkthrough recommends extra engines for speed. Add them after your starter craft can remain airborne and you have enough generator fuel. More propulsion may help you reach distant objectives faster, but the guide provides no measured acceleration, fuel cost or safe maximum, so test one change at a time.
Choose balloons when lift or payload is the problem
Add wooden balloons when the craft struggles to rise or when a larger platform and cargo make it heavy. Distribute new balloons across the platform and observe the ship’s balance. The source does not state a lift value per balloon; treat the recommendation as practical guidance, not a capacity formula.

Keep fuel in the upgrade budget
Wood is both a construction resource and the generator fuel identified by the guide. Before adding an engine or widening the platform, set aside enough wood for the flight you intend to make. Running out of fuel can strand a ship even when its hardware is otherwise adequate.
Expand only after a controlled test
Build a small, serviceable craft first. Verify mounting, forward movement, ascent, descent and component connections. Then add speed, lift or platform space according to the failure you observed. This staged approach reduces the cost of dismantling a design that was never airborne.
Where to look for secrets and current community solutions
The Everwind Steam guide index separates community posts into secrets, crafting, basics, maps or levels, weapons and achievements. Use those categories to find location clues or alternate routes, but check each post’s date and comments. A category label does not guarantee that a guide still matches the current build.
The broader Everwind Community hub is also useful for update discussions and bug reports. Community discoveries can reveal an easier route, but avoid treating an exploit as permanent progression advice: Early Access patches may remove it, and a broken interaction can damage a save.
Update awareness: Hotfix 0.4.999
The Steam Community search result for Hotfix 0.4.999 is dated October 6, 2026. Its short summary mentions adding the AW-51 to the Compendium, changes to loot and the Bandit Dungeon, Steamer Vault adjustments, and fixes for problems including objects resetting on converted Flying Ships. It is a hub summary rather than a complete changelog.
Because this article’s route was documented before or around that update, recheck the current patch notes before relying on an exact recipe, control or object location. If a converted ship loses placed objects, stop making further changes, verify the installed version, and consult the latest official discussion before rebuilding from memory.
Troubleshooting the first-ship route
The blueprint did not appear
Repeat the interaction while unarmed and confirm that you are targeting the object itself. If no blueprint registers, the behavior may have changed; continue by checking the crafting menu and current community posts rather than repeatedly destroying valuable items.
A crashed-ship part will not scan
Move closer, aim the compass at the glowing cockpit, balloon, engine or generator, and circle the wreck to expose the component. Confirm the recipe list afterward. If only one part fails, it may be occluded or positioned differently in your build.

The Flying Ship Core is missing
Follow the water waypoint from a launched boat and inspect the small platform. The community route says the core is not on the starting island, so searching the island indefinitely will not follow that documented path. If the marker is absent, verify that the boat and preceding scans were completed and that your objective is active.
The ship will not move or gain altitude
Check that the cockpit, generator, engine, balloon and pipes are all installed and that wood has been placed in the generator. Test the listed controls. If the craft is unbalanced, reposition balloons or simplify the platform before adding more engines.
Controls differ from the guide
Open the current in-game control settings and use those bindings. The W/S, Space, Shift and E layout is the one reported by the March 19, 2026 walkthrough, not a permanent guarantee.
A concise progression checklist
- Loot the tutorial tower and collect every useful item.
- Try the guide’s unarmed object interaction to learn blueprints.
- Gather wood, fiber, rope, planks, wooden blocks and copper nails from damaged containers.
- Scan the crashed ship’s cockpit, balloon, engine and generator with the compass.
- Craft and launch a wooden boat.
- Follow the waypoint to the offshore platform and obtain the Flying Ship Core.
- Assemble cockpit, generator, engine, balloon or balloons and wooden pipes.
- Reserve wood for generator fuel.
- Test mounting, movement, ascent and descent before expanding the craft.
- Upgrade engines for a speed goal or balloons for a lift goal, changing one variable at a time.
