Star Wars: Eclipse
Star Wars: Eclipse is an action-adventure game from Quantic Dream and Lucasfilm Games, set in the High Republic era. Its official site describes it as “Now early in development.” The announced premise includes multiple playable characters and a branching narrative. No release date is stated in the official material available here.
Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic
Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic is a single-player action role-playing game from Arcanaut Studios and Lucasfilm Games, with Casey Hudson as creative lead. Its announcement describes a Force user’s journey at the end of the Old Republic and says the game is early in development. No release date or platform is established in the official announcement available here.

- The following games are included in the cartridge: STAR WARS Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy (3.6 GB)
- STAR WARS Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast (1.1 GB)
- STAR WARS Episode I Racer (254 MB)
- STAR WARS Republic Commando (2.5 GB)
- STAR WARS: The Force Unleashed (3.4 GB)
This is a new Old Republic-era RPG, not the Knights of the Old Republic remake. The shared era does not establish that it is a remake or a direct continuation. Lucasfilm Games VP Douglas Reilly praised Hudson’s experience with “deep, long-term storytelling” and “choice-driven worlds” in the official announcement.
What is known about the other announced projects?
An announcement alone does not establish that a game remains in development years later. For three projects, the official sources available here do not confirm current status.

| Project | Status supported as of October 8, 2026 | Announced details | Release timing in available official material |
|---|---|---|---|
| Next Star Wars Jedi installment | Announced in 2022; current status unconfirmed | Respawn was announced as developer by EA and Lucasfilm Games. No title, setting, or additional current details are established here. | No current date established |
| Amy Hennig / Skydance New Media Star Wars game | Unresolved; neither active development nor cancellation is confirmed here | Announced with Amy Hennig and Skydance New Media | Not stated in the official material available here |
| Knights of the Old Republic remake | Unresolved; current status and lead studio are not established here | Remake of Knights of the Old Republic | Not stated in the official material available here |
The Jedi game’s 2022 announcement confirms that Respawn was developing the next franchise installment at that time; it does not by itself prove the project is still in development in October 2026. The same caution applies to the unresolved projects: a lack of a current confirmation in the sources available here is not evidence that a game has been canceled.
