Destiny 2: Revenant’s artifact gained perks in three stages: ten in Act I, five more in Act II, and five more in Act III. Below is the complete historical list, organized by the act and column in which each perk was introduced. These are the original seasonal descriptions; Bungie later changed several perks, so the list should not be treated as a guide to their current in-game effects.
How Revenant’s artifact expanded
Each Act added a row to the artifact’s five-column layout. Act I supplied ten perks across columns 1–4 and one in column 5; Acts II and III each added one perk to every column. Bungie’s original announcements describe the perks as they appeared when introduced, while later patch notes record changes to some effects.
Act I artifact perks
Bungie announced these ten perks on October 3, 2024. The descriptions below reflect the original Act I announcement.
Column 1: Champion weapon perks
- Anti-Barrier Shotgun: Shotguns fire shield-piercing rounds and stun Barrier Champions. Shotguns are always overcharged when that modifier is active.
- Overload Breechloaded Grenade Launcher: Primary and Special ammo Grenade Launchers disrupt combatants and stun Overload Champions. They are always overcharged when that modifier is active.
Column 2: Scorn damage and Grenade Launcher reload
- Fell the Revenant: Deal increased weapon damage to Scorn; wearing Shadestalker Armor increases the bonus.
- Rapid Impacts: Grenade Launcher damage temporarily increases Grenade Launcher reload speed.
Column 3: Devour and Ionic Traces
- Power from Pain: Rapid final blows against weakened combatants grant Devour. Its Boost also spawns a Void breach when rapidly defeating weakened combatants.
- Trace Evidence: Rapid precision hits or final blows on targets affected by jolt or blind generate Ionic Traces. Its Boost grants Armor Charge when picking up an Ionic Trace.
Column 4: weakening and blinding
- Concussive Reload: Grenade Launcher damage to a boss or Champion, or breaking a combatant’s shield, weakens them. Its Boost automatically reloads stowed weapons in those cases.
- Retinal Burn: Rapid Arc weapon precision hits consume an Armor Charge to blind a target. Its Boost instead emits a blinding burst.
Column 5: ability energy and Grenade Launcher shockwaves
- Served Cold: Picking up a Stasis Shard grants class ability energy; picking up a Void Breach grants melee energy.
- Kinetic Impacts: Sustained Power Grenade Launcher damage causes a shockwave that damages nearby combatants and can stun Unstoppable Champions.
Act II artifact perks
Bungie announced these five additions on November 14, 2024, ahead of Act II’s November 19 arrival. They are the original Act II descriptions.

Column 1: melee armor mods
- Authorized Mods: Melee: Significantly discounts the armor energy cost of armor mods affecting melee.
Column 2: Emergency Reinforcements
- Emergency Flare: Emergency Reinforcements consumes all but 1 Armor Charge.
Column 3: surrounded combatants
- The Thick of It: Rapid final blows while surrounded grant Armor Charge. Its Boost increases weapon handling while surrounded and increases Sword charge rate.
Column 4: shields and pickups
- Curative Orbs: The first time you break a target’s shield, or the shield of a Guardian using their Super, you create an Orb of Power. Its Boost grants a small amount of health for picking up an Orb, Elemental pickup, or Tangle.
Column 5: Arc damage
- Arc Compounding: Arc sources deal increased damage to blinded targets.
Act III artifact perks
Bungie announced Act III as live on January 9, 2025. The final row focused on Void abilities. These descriptions are the original Act III versions.
Column 1: grenade armor mods
- Authorized Mods: Grenades: Significantly discounts the armor energy cost of armor mods affecting grenades.
Column 2: Devour and weapon handling
- Frenzied Hunger: Rapid final blows while Devour is active grant reload and handling bonuses.
Column 3: ammo pickups
- Finders Keepers: Picking up Special or Heavy ammo has a chance to grant Armor Charge; Heavy ammo grants a greater chance.
Column 4: Void Breaches
- Void Renewal: While Devour is active, Void weapon final blows have a chance to generate a Void Breach.
Column 5: Void weapon projectiles
- Old God’s Rite: After picking up a Void Breach, Void weapon damage creates seeking projectiles.
What later updates changed
The original act descriptions are a record of how the perks were introduced, not necessarily how they work after subsequent updates. Bungie’s Update 9.7.0 notes record several changes:

- Void Renewal gained the old Frenzied Hunger benefits on Void Breach collection.
- Kinetic Impacts expanded to Special and Primary Grenade Launchers, with weaker shockwaves than Heavy Grenade Launchers.
- Old God’s Rite projectile damage increased.
- Finders Keepers was replaced with Killing Breeze.
- Some perks’ Boost effects or seasonal gear bonuses were rolled into their base perk.
For an account of the artifact’s original structure and effects, use the act-by-act lists above. For a build or loadout decision in the live game, check the current in-game perk text and update notes rather than relying on an old Boost description. Bungie’s Update 9.0.0.1 notes also explain a broader system change: Artifact Bonus Power was removed and replaced by Seasonal Bonus Power.
