Fallout 3 has 20 bobbleheads: seven that increase SPECIAL attributes and 13 that increase skills. Medicine is especially easy to miss because it moves within Vault 101 as the story progresses; pick it up during an early visit. This spoiler-forward checklist gives the location and route for every bobblehead.
What bobbleheads do
Each SPECIAL bobblehead permanently adds 1 point to its attribute, up to the cap of 10. Each skill bobblehead adds 10 points to its skill, up to 100. Neither type raises a stat beyond its cap, so the benefit depends on your character’s current value. The locations and effects below follow the community-maintained Fallout Wiki bobblehead reference.

Collecting 10 bobbleheads awards “Yes, I Play with Dolls”; finding all 20 awards “Vault-Tec C.E.O.” The game’s listed display locations are the Megaton house and the Tenpenny Tower suite.
SPECIAL bobblehead locations
Strength — Megaton
Enter Lucas Simms’ house, just to the right as you enter Megaton. Go upstairs to the second-floor bedroom; the bobblehead is on the desk. The location reference flags this one as potentially unobtainable, so collect it when you can rather than relying on a later return.

Perception — Republic of Dave
In the Museum of Dave, look on the bookshelf on the right side of the room.
Endurance — Deathclaw Sanctuary
Go just inside the entrance and down the ramp. The bobblehead is on a small platform beside a rotting brahmin corpse.
Charisma — Vault 108
In the Cloning Lab, find the large central room with four beds. The bobblehead is on a table south of the clinic room.

Intelligence — Rivet City
Go to the Science Lab and head downstairs. The bobblehead is on a table near the center of the lower level, beside lockers. Reach the lab from the midship or upper deck.

Agility — Greener Pastures disposal site
Search the office desk beside an Average-locked terminal.
Luck — Arlington Cemetery North
Enter Arlington House, on the hill near the cemetery’s center. The bobblehead is on a shelf in the basement.

Skill bobblehead locations
Barter — Evergreen Mills
In the Bazaar, find Smiling Jack and search the dark nook on the right side of the room. The bobblehead is among the rightmost shelves; the location reference directs you to jump over the workbench to reach them.
Big Guns — Fort Constantine
In the CO Quarters bungalow, go to the basement. The bobblehead is inside an open safe with caps and the ICBM launch code.

Energy Weapons — Raven Rock
Look on the desk to the right in Colonel Autumn’s bedroom. Raven Rock access is story-dependent, and the location reference marks this bobblehead as potentially unobtainable. Take it while you are there.

Explosives — WKML Broadcast Station
Find the sewer manhole behind the station, in a rocky area southwest of the southernmost tower and below the cliff. It leads to a sealed cistern; the bobblehead is inside.
Lockpick — Bethesda Ruins
In Bethesda Offices East, go to the second floor. The bobblehead is on a desk below a safe, beside an active lamp.
Medicine — Vault 101
On an early visit to Vault 101, find the bobblehead on James’ desk in the clinic. During “Trouble on the Homefront,” its location is a cart in the clinic’s back room. The Vault can become permanently sealed after the relevant quests, unless unusual story outcomes reopen it; the quest reference also describes the Vault 101 access issue. Treat this as a high-priority pickup: take it the first time you have the opportunity.

Melee Weapons — Dunwich Building
Follow the route through the virulent underchambers. Near the exit back to the Dunwich Building, look in the metallic room among cans and bottles.
Repair — Arefu
Enter Evan King’s house and look on the white table to the left. The location reference says entry requires 50 Lockpick and flags the bobblehead as potentially unobtainable. If you have access, collect it rather than assuming the opportunity will remain open.
Science — Vault 106
In the living quarters, cross the small bridge in the atrium and turn right. Enter the second door on the left, then follow the hall to its end. The bobblehead is across the room after the hostile survivor.
Small Guns — National Guard Depot
The bobblehead is on a shelf in the sealed basement storage room of the National Guard armory. To open the utility door, reach the third floor via the training wing and depot offices, then use the switch there.

In the yao guai den, search the top of a metal box northeast of the large pool.
Speech — Paradise Falls
In Eulogy’s Pad, the bobblehead is on the table beside the terminal.

Unarmed — Rockopolis
Rockopolis is unmarked. Look west of Smith Casey’s garage and north of Girdershade for a large boulder below a party banner. The bobblehead is beside Argyle’s body.
Prioritize these access risks
- Medicine: Its location changes with Vault 101 story stages, and the Vault may seal after the relevant quests. Pick it up on an early visit.
- Strength, Energy Weapons, and Repair: The location reference flags these as potentially unobtainable or access-limited. It does not establish that every playthrough loses access in the same way, so save before major story choices and collect each when its location is available.
