This checklist covers all 35 entries in the original Data Mining dataslate set for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2: 23 in the campaign and 12 across its first six Operations. Each listed Operation has two slates. Later mission recordings and other interactable audio logs are not part of this 35-item checklist. Spoiler note: mission names and objective checkpoints reveal campaign progression.

Use the objective text as your navigation anchor. At each checkpoint, inspect side routes, ledges and dead ends before taking a drop, elevator or other route that may prevent you from returning. Check off each slate after collecting it; the Battle Barge Dataslate Repository shows the registered names.

Campaign dataslate locations

The campaign has 23 dataslates across seven missions. Locations below follow mission order.

Skyfire — 4 dataslates

  1. Stormtalon Crash, Kadaku. At “Make Your Way Through the Swamp,” stay left at the swamp opening. Shoot the explosive plants blocking the side path and follow it to the dead end.
  2. Admission of Desertion. At the same objective, cross the damaged bridge and climb beyond it. Before dropping to the soldiers below, drop down on the right side of the large metal tower and look by the large tree root. The lower drop makes it difficult to return.
  3. Anti-Tyranid Offensive, Kadaku. At “Navigate Through the Base,” stay left in the tunnel instead of taking the objective turn. Follow the side tunnel to its dead end.
  4. Desired Purgation of Data. At “Reach the Targeting System,” check the table to the elevator’s right before using the elevator.

Severance — 4 dataslates

  1. Conflict, Adeptus Astartes/Tyranid, Kadaku. At “Reach the Adeptus Mechanicus facility,” pass the first wall and white tent, then climb the slope where enemies appear. Turn left and search behind a broken military car.
  2. Tyranid Attack, Designation: Rippers, Kadaku. At “Locate the Transmitter,” leave the jungle and enter the military facility. Before using the first elevator, search to its left near the red light.
  3. Lamentation for Sacred Machines. At “Locate the Transmitter,” complete the power-room and flamethrower sequence, then enter the door marked Sector 614. In the next room, use the switch to open the side door and follow that route to its end.
  4. Summary, Tyranid Invasion, Kadaku. At “Reach the Crash Site,” use the Jump Pack to reach the upper ledge in the first small cave where it becomes available.

Machinus Divinitus — 3 dataslates

  1. Attempted Liturgy for Burnt Capacitator. At “Proceed to the Elevator Control Room,” extend and defend the bridge, then cross into the next building. Turn left and check the roof before going inside.
  2. Termination 101010-S. At “Proceed to the Databanks,” enter the facility tunnels at Sector 5. Take the first left, then right, right, left and right to reach a dead end away from the main route.
  3. Improper Command. At “Proceed to the Databanks,” after the Carnifex fight and metal bridge, activate the panel and hold out until the gate opens. Continue straight to the corridor’s far end and check the right corner before assembling at the elevator.

Servant of the Machine — 2 dataslates

  1. Cannon Maintenance, 1.002.81. At “Advance to the Neurothrope’s Locus,” ride the first elevator, then circle around its left side to find the slate behind it.
  2. Tithe Collection, Avarax. At “Advance to the Temple of Thassean,” after “Cover Chairon” and “Regroup with Chairon,” watch the cutscene at the winged statue inside the blue force field. Follow the rubble path and inspect the end alcove before turning left to the door panel.

Voidsong — 3 dataslates

  1. Potential Heresy, Adeptus Astra Telepathica, 2287.8. At “Restore Power to the Door,” open the large red door. In the tunnels, take the first right, then keep left to the desk at the dead end near the powered door.
  2. Potential Heresy, Adeptus Astra Telepathica, 2228.2. At “Advance to the Relay Entrance,” finish the large Jump Pack arena fight and pass through the metal gate. In the next area, boost to the broken balcony on the right.
  3. Potential Heresy, Adeptus Astra Telepathica, 2289.5. At “Transmit a message to Lord Calgar,” after the relay defense and elevator ride, go down the stairs. Check the corner behind the stairs, to the right of the humans spraying flamethrowers on corpses.

Dawn’s Descent — 4 dataslates

  1. Effects of Noctillith Exposure. At “Advance to the Cathedral,” activate the yellow orb and summon the moving platform. Check the left corner before boosting onto the cathedral building.
  2. Tomb Excavation, Analog Backup Log 8.6. At “Advance to the Mechanicus Facility,” after the cathedral defense and cemetery transition, take the left path. Keep left at each split until you reach the dead end between a crypt and statue.
  3. Tomb Excavation, Analog Backup Log 8.7. At “Explore the Ruins,” after the later yellow orb, enter the next room with the floating sorcerer and hanging wires. Go upstairs and left into the side area; do not take the story route to the elevator yet.
  4. Tomb Excavation, Analog Backup Log 9.9. At “Advance to Aurora,” push the first yellow crate and fight the next group. Take the right path through the blue-glowing thorns, turn right, and check the ground by the large insect-like head.

Bellum Sempiternus — 3 dataslates

  1. Effects of Warp Exposure. At “Seek Out the 2nd Company Position,” pass the friendly soldiers and drop from the required ledge. Go left, then right, and follow the branch away from the regroup route.
  2. Burial, Adeptus Astartes, Salamander Chapter. At “Advance to the Second Force,” after the circular arena fight with the sorcerer, enter the sarcophagus room and search the back-left corner.
  3. Amount of Deceased on Demerium. At “Advance to the Obelisk,” cross the blue-glowing tunnel and keep right to find the final campaign slate.

Duty Without End has no dataslate in this original 35-entry set.

  2. War Preparation, Avarax. At “Advance to the Train,” wait until “Clear the Freight Way” interrupts and the train objective resumes. Leave the control room, drop down two platforms, and search beside the parked tank at the back.

How to find a missing dataslate

  1. On the Battle Barge, open the Dataslate Repository and identify the exact name that is missing.
  2. Use the name and mission headings above to locate its mission and objective checkpoint.
  3. Replay that mission and collect the slate. The guides describe replaying the relevant mission as the cleanup method; restarting the campaign is not necessary.
  4. Return to the Repository and verify that the entry has registered.

In Operations, tell your squad before moving past a side branch or one-way transition so the team can search before advancing.
