Digimon Story Time Stranger features more than 450 Digimon, according to Bandai Namco. For a numbered name-by-name reference, the GameFAQs Field Guide lists base-game entries 001–451 and starts its DLC section at 452. That guide is a secondary index, not an official guarantee that every platform and current game build contains the same total.
How many Digimon are in Digimon Story Time Stranger?
Bandai Namco advertises “more than 450 Digimon,” but does not publish a definitive, cross-platform total covering every update and DLC configuration. The GameFAQs Field Guide’s numbered list runs from 001 to 451 for its base-game roster, then lists DLC entries beginning at 452. Treat those numbers as that guide’s enumeration, not a universal current count. Bandai Namco’s game page and the Field Guide serve different purposes: the publisher page highlights selected characters, while the guide is the practical full-list index.

All Digimon in Digimon Story Time Stranger
The GameFAQs Field Guide organizes its numbered entries by Digimon name, evolution stage, and type. It starts with Kuramon at 001 and reaches Gabumon (Bond of Friendship) at 451 before beginning the DLC section. Use its “Full List” section to look up individual names and their listed data. Because it is a secondary guide and its listing is platform- and version-specific, check the in-game Field Guide for the roster on your own build.
Bandai Namco’s official character page is a selection rather than a complete roster. Among its featured Digimon are Patamon, Gomamon, Magnamon (X Antibody), Jesmon (X Antibody), Omnimon (X Antibody), UlforceVeedramon (X Antibody), Gallantmon (X Antibody), Omnimon: Merciful Mode, the Bancho Digimon, Parallelmon, Omnimon Alter-S, Omnimon Alter-B, CresGarurumon, and BlitzGreymon.

Which Digimon are added by DLC?
Bandai Namco’s DLC page describes three Additional Digimon & Episode Packs. The additions include both new trainable Digimon and unlocked Digivolution paths, so the content should not be treated as a simple count of new species.
| DLC pack | Officially listed Digimon content |
|---|---|
| Pack 1 | BlitzGreymon, CresGarurumon, Omnimon Zwart, Omnimon Alter-S, and Omnimon Alter-B. Purchasing any of packs 1–3 also grants Parallelmon Digivolution paths. |
| Pack 2: GAKU-RAN | BanchoLillymon, BanchoStingmon, BanchoGolemon, BanchoMamemon, and Omnimon: Merciful Mode. |
| Pack 3: Anti-ParadoX | Unlocked Digivolution paths for five Mega Digimon: Omnimon (X Antibody), Jesmon (X Antibody), Magnamon (X Antibody), Gallantmon (X Antibody), and UlforceVeedramon (X Antibody). |
These details are from Bandai Namco’s DLC listing. Its July 2026 Switch announcement describes three DLC packs, each with five additional Digimon and an episode, while the DLC page clarifies that some content consists of evolution paths. That distinction matters when comparing a DLC checklist with a roster count.

What do the roster’s stages and types mean in play?
The Field Guide’s stage and type information is useful for more than collecting names. Time Stranger is a turn-based RPG set across the human world and the Digital World: Iliad. Players analyze opponents in battle; when scan analysis reaches 100% or higher, they can convert the data into a Digimon. Bandai Namco says a scan closer to 200% produces a stronger Digimon. Recruited Digimon can be trained at the Digifarm, equipped with skills and equipment, and developed along non-linear evolution paths. Bandai Namco’s gameplay overview explains the collection and training systems.
Producer Ryosuke Hara says the game uses seven attributes and eleven elements. Vaccine, Virus, and Data form one matchup cycle, while elemental strengths and weaknesses add another layer to combat. Digimon can be de-Digivolved for more flexible training, and the game’s 16 personalities affect stat growth, skill acquisition, and evolution conditions. These systems mean that a roster entry’s stage and type can matter as much as its name when planning a team. Hara’s PlayStation.Blog interview describes these mechanics.

Platforms and roster availability
The game launched on October 3, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 versions became available July 10, 2026; Bandai Namco’s current game page lists all five platform families. A guide’s roster numbering should not be assumed to represent every platform’s current build or DLC access. The Switch announcement also gives Switch 2 display modes: Quality Mode supports up to 4K HDR at 30 FPS docked and Full HD at 30 FPS handheld; Performance Mode supports Full HD at up to 60 FPS docked and handheld.
Edition contents differ. Bandai Namco’s Digital Ultimate Edition listing includes the base game, Season Pass, three additional Digimon and episode packs, a Golden Moai farm item, costumes, and a music pack. Verify the specific platform and edition listing before buying, since the included content determines which DLC Digimon or paths are available. The official game page lists the current editions and platforms.
