Every Documented Easter Egg on Citadelle des Morts in Black Ops 6

Citadelle des Morts’ main Easter egg takes you from opening the castle route and unlocking Pack-a-Punch through four elemental sword quests, book-and-orb trials, and a fight against The Guardian. It is solo-capable, but some timed steps are easier with teammates. How to complete the Citadelle des Morts main quest

The route below follows the sequence in the Zombies Codex walkthrough, updated September 8, 2026, and is a progression outline rather than a substitute for its clue-by-clue instructions. The official Call of Duty map guide is focused on orientation and the first ten rounds, not the full quest. PCGamesN and GameSpot also outline the story route and its sword focus.

1. Open the castle and reach the Undercroft. Use the cannon to clear the blocked route, then progress into the Undercroft and unlock Pack-a-Punch.
2. Speak with Gabriel Krafft and gather the pages. After Pack-a-Punch is available, find Krafft and collect the torn pages needed later in the quest.
3. Claim the four basic swords. From round 10 onward, collect stamps and use them to claim the swords from the knights. The four elemental paths are Fire (Caliburn), Lightning (Durendal), Shadow (Balmung), and Light (Solais).
4. Upgrade all four swords. Each sword has its own elemental ritual and clues. Complete every path; the quest requires all four even when playing solo.
5. Collect ritual items and incantations. These feed into the later symbol, book, and knight-order puzzles.
6. Reveal the wall symbols and solve the book puzzle. The solution depends on clues in your match. Do not rely on a fixed answer from a different run.
7. Complete the Point of Power traps in book order. Use the order established by the book rather than treating the traps as interchangeable.
8. Progress through the Mystic Orb trials. Use the knight order and the appropriate incantations to advance the trials and earn the Guardian Key.
9. Use the Guardian Key and fight The Guardian. The walkthrough recommends bringing a bullet weapon: swords alone are not sufficient against the boss’s armor.

Solo or co-op?

The main quest is described as completable solo, and all four sword paths remain required. Co-op can make timed steps more manageable by letting players divide tasks, but it is not a prerequisite for the quest.

How long does the quest take?

Zombies Codex estimates 50–80 minutes for a run by someone who already knows the steps. Treat that as a guide estimate, not a guaranteed completion time; learning the clues or recovering from mistakes can take longer.

Where Pack-a-Punch fits into the route

Pack-a-Punch is reached by first clearing the blocked route with the cannon and continuing into the Undercroft. It is an early progression milestone: the route then sends you to speak with Krafft before collecting pages, stamps, and swords. The Call of Duty official guide provides map orientation and early-round guidance, while the full quest sequence is covered by specialist walkthroughs.

The four Wonder Weapons: elemental swords

The main quest centers on four elemental Wonder Weapon swords. Their names and paths, as given in the Zombies Codex guide, are:

The basic swords are gated until round 10, according to the specialist walkthrough. The elemental upgrade puzzles use their own rituals and clues, so follow the evidence shown in your match rather than assuming one sword’s solution applies to another.

Song: “Slave”

The Kevin Sherwood song “Slave,” featuring Vicky Psarakis, starts when you interact with the third Mr. Peeks headset. Find and activate all three headsets; the third interaction triggers the track.

Free PHD Flopper

Collect hidden liquor bottles, then serve the correct drinks to the Tavern zombies. Use the labels as the matching clues instead of guessing which drink to serve.

Bonus perk from the raven

During the Dark Incantation raven step, an optional raven interaction can award a bonus perk. It is an extra reward rather than a required main-quest step.

Bell Tower reward

Find a cannon wheel and a blowtorch or welder, use them to repair the cannon, then fire it repeatedly. The documented sequence ends with a loot reward.

Rat King reward

Find and interact with ten hidden rats, then follow the crown-and-cheese reward sequence.

The Raven rune-wheel puzzle can vary between matches. Read the clues presented in the current run and derive the combination from them; a chart or answer copied from another player may not match your game. The same practical rule applies to clue-driven quest steps: use the symbols and ordering the game gives you rather than assuming a fixed solution.
