Stardew Valley Characters: Ages, Heights, and Birthdays

Stardew Valley gives villagers in-game season-and-day birthdays, but cited official references do not establish exact ages or real-world heights.

Stardew Valley does not establish exact real-world ages or heights for its named characters in the cited official references. Its character data uses broad age classes, while birthdays are given as an in-game season and day. Here is the birthday list for calendar-listed villagers, with the limits of what is known about age and height made clear.

What “main characters” means here

Stardew Valley does not define one official set called “main characters.” The wiki groups villagers into marriage candidates, non-marriage candidates, and non-giftable NPCs. This guide uses the calendar-listed villagers as its scope, rather than implying that every NPC in the game appears in the birthday calendar. See the Villagers page for those character categories.

The Farmer is player-created and customizable, not a fixed named villager profile. The game’s press page describes player customization; the cited material does not assign the Farmer a canonical age, height, or birthday.

Villager birthdays by in-game season

Birthdays are listed by season and day on Stardew Valley’s calendar. These are in-game dates, not real-world month-and-day birthdays.

Are the characters’ exact ages known?

No exact numerical ages are established by the cited official character-data documentation. The NPC data reference has an Age field whose values are broad categories: Child, Teen, and Adult. Those labels describe age classes in game data; they do not substantiate claims that a particular villager is a specific number of years old. See Modding:NPC data.

Are character heights known?

The cited official references do not provide named characters’ physical heights in feet or centimeters. NPC documentation includes sprite dimensions in pixels, but those are asset and rendering measurements—not canonical body measurements. Converting a sprite’s pixel size into a real-world height would require assumptions the documentation does not establish.
