The complete Mario Kart Tour driver roster on Super Mario Wiki is the entry-by-entry reference, including alternate versions of characters and individual Mii Racing Suits. Its default order follows the game’s driver-selection screen. The table also allows readers to sort alphabetically by character or by full driver name; those approaches can display variants differently.

Rather than treating each character as a single entry, use the roster’s separate listing for every variant and suit. Each row provides the driver’s rarity, size class, special skill, character traits and debut tour.
How the driver entries differ
Rarity, size class and special skill are useful roster fields, but they are not a performance ranking. The game overview says driver statistics differ in acceleration and weight according to size class, while higher rarity tiers have more starting points and more favored and favorite courses. How many drivers are in Mario Kart Tour?
A definitive current total is not established by the cited roster and overview. The overview reports 267 playable characters, but that figure predates two later roster entries: Mario (Mechanic) and Luigi (Mechanic), recorded as additions during the July 2025 rerun of Sunshine Tour. The 267 figure should therefore not be presented as the current total, and the available sources do not establish a reconciled updated count.
Can you still play Mario Kart Tour?
No. Nintendo’s official “About the End of Service for Mario Kart Tour” notice states that service ended on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, and that the game can no longer be played.

Nintendo’s notice sets limited post-service access windows for historical information: past tour statistics and in-app inquiries remain accessible through January 12, 2027, while past All-Cup Rankings remain accessible through the end of September 2027. These dates describe access to historical records, not continued gameplay.
