Star Fox Adventures
Star Fox Adventures is already included, not merely upcoming. Nintendo says the original GameCube game was released in 2002. Its September 2026 announcement said it was joining the Classics library, and the current product page now lists it among the included titles. Nintendo Singapore’s September 16, 2026 update gives the original release-year context; Nintendo’s September 9, 2026 Direct announcement announced its addition.
How do you play GameCube games on Switch 2?
These games are accessed through the Nintendo GameCube – Nintendo Classics app, which Nintendo says is exclusive to Switch 2. A paid Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership is required; the base Nintendo Switch Online membership alone does not meet that requirement. Nintendo’s launch announcement explains the Switch 2 and Expansion Pack requirements in its June 6, 2025 service overview.

What features do the Switch 2 versions include?
Nintendo describes the games as having clearer image quality and higher resolution than the original versions, and says the service supports saving at any time. Local multiplayer, local wireless, and online play for up to four players are available in compatible games; those features are not stated to apply to every title.

No. Nintendo’s GameCube controller is an optional wireless accessory for Nintendo Switch Online members; it is not a requirement for accessing or playing the Classics library.
