The strongest recent retail lead is the Nintendo Switch Lite: Animal Crossing: New Horizons Timmy & Tommy Aloha Edition, which Tom’s Guide reported on sale at Target in the US in August 2026, including Animal Crossing: New Horizons. That dated report is not a guarantee of stock on October 4, 2026. Nintendo UK’s special-edition page, meanwhile, lists the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet OLED edition as out of stock. Availability depends on country and changes quickly, so treat the listings below as dated evidence—not a promise that every console can still be bought new.
Limited-edition Switch consoles with recent availability evidence
“Limited edition” is often used casually by shoppers. The table separates themed console editions from ordinary console bundles, and distinguishes a retailer stock report from an official product listing. No source here establishes live stock across all retailers on October 4, 2026.

These are identifiable special editions, but the cited announcements or catalogs establish their names and features—not that a new unit is currently in stock. Search by the full model name, then confirm the seller, region, condition, and box contents.

Bundles are not always special-edition consoles
Nintendo UK’s page also lists Animal Crossing Lite bundles and white OLED bundles with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and online membership. A bundle can be a useful way to buy a system and extras together, but the presence of a game or membership does not by itself make the console hardware a distinct edition. Choose by console family, not just the artwork
Switch Lite editions
The Switch Lite is designed for handheld play. It is the relevant choice if portability and a themed handheld are the priority, but it is not the same kind of system as a hybrid Switch console. Nintendo’s product information describes the Lite as a dedicated handheld system. Nintendo Switch Lite.
Switch OLED editions
The OLED model supports the Switch’s hybrid play modes and has a 7-inch OLED screen, 64 GB of internal storage, and an adjustable stand, according to Nintendo. Those hardware differences matter as much as the edition’s design when comparing prices. Nintendo Switch OLED Model.

How to check a listing before you buy
- Confirm the market and seller. A Target report applies to the US; a Nintendo UK stock label applies to the UK store. Open the listing for the country where you will buy, and verify that it is still available.
- Match the exact edition name. In particular, do not confuse the Timmy & Tommy Aloha Edition with the Isabelle Aloha Edition.
- Read the box contents. Check whether the listing is console-only or includes a game, membership, case, or other item. Bundle contents can differ between sellers and regions.
- Compare the system and total delivered cost. Consider Lite handheld-only play versus OLED hybrid play, then include shipping, taxes, and any required extras in the price comparison.
- If buying used or through resale, inspect condition and completeness. Check seller reputation, photographs, included accessories, and whether the system works before paying. No specific resale listing or price is verified here.
What “available today” can reliably mean
A product appearing in an official catalog confirms that Nintendo recognizes the edition; it does not prove that the console is in stock. A dated retailer report is stronger evidence of a sale at that time, but still does not guarantee a current listing. For a dependable purchase decision, verify the country, seller, date checked, price, stock status, and package contents on the actual checkout page.
