At the August 16, 2024 launch of Fortnite Battle Royale Chapter 5 Season 4: Absolute Doom, Epic introduced four new weapon entries, brought back or carried forward a separate group of items, and a contemporaneous Charlie INTEL guide reported a set of vaulted weapons. This is a launch-day roster, not a current loot-pool list: later patches, playlists, and ranked rules may differ.
New weapons and combat equipment at launch
Epic’s August 16, 2024 Chapter 5 Season 4 launch article names four new weapons. War Machine’s Auto Turret and Hover Jets are associated equipment, not conventional guns.

Epic groups the following in one list of “unvaulted weapons” and carried-over items. Its launch article does not identify which individual entries were newly unvaulted and which were carried over, so the roster below preserves that distinction rather than labeling every item a fresh return.

The following removal roster comes from Charlie INTEL’s August 16, 2024 launch guide, not an itemized list in Epic’s launch article. It describes launch-period Battle Royale changes; it does not establish availability in every Fortnite mode or ruleset.

- New: The four weapons Epic identified as new for the season.
- Returning or carried over: Epic’s combined category; apart from its explicit note that Captain America’s Shield was unvaulted, the source does not assign an individual status to every item.
- Vaulted: The launch removals reported by Charlie INTEL. Treat them as a dated launch snapshot, not a guarantee about later patches or every mode.
The sources provide qualitative descriptions and selected balance changes, not comparable damage, DPS, fire-rate, or reload-time figures. This roster therefore identifies additions, returns, and reported removals rather than ranking weapon performance.
