Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots makes golf approachable with a simple three-press swing, then adds depth through challenges, progression and the unpredictable Wacky Golf mode. It has plenty to offer both solo players and groups, though TechRadar’s review points to slow unlocks and frame-rate dips as drawbacks.
How the swing works
Every shot begins with aiming, followed by three timed button presses. The sequence is easy to understand, but timing those inputs consistently is the central skill to develop. Bandai Namco describes it as “easy to learn yet challenging to master” in its official game announcement. The PlayStation listing also outlines the three-button shot mechanic.

This approach favors readable timing over the complexity of a full golf simulation. New players can get a shot off quickly, while improving means learning to manage the timing rather than merely choosing a direction.

Why Wacky Golf stands out
Wacky Golf shifts the emphasis from straightforward rounds to party-style surprises. Randomized rules and disruptive effects can upset a carefully planned shot, making this mode a good fit when unpredictability is part of the fun. World Tour, by contrast, provides a more conventional story-focused route through the game, according to TechRadar’s hands-on review.

Progression and performance trade-offs
Unlocks take patience
TechRadar found that characters and gear unlock gradually. That gives progression a steady reward loop, but may frustrate players who want quick access to a broad selection of customization options.

It is a strong fit for players who want golf controls they can learn quickly, a mix of solo and multiplayer activities, and a playful alternative to conventional rounds. Wacky Golf adds variety for groups, while World Tour and challenges give solo players structured goals. The main reason to hesitate is the gradual unlock pace; TechRadar’s reported frame-rate dips during ball flight are another consideration if smooth performance is a priority.
