Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots makes golf approachable with a simple three-button swing, then adds enough timing, wind, lie and spin considerations to reward practice. Official feature descriptions and TechRadar’s review of the PS5 version point to a lighthearted arcade game with a genuine shotmaking layer—though that review also noted slow progression and occasional frame-rate dips.

How does the three-button shot system work?
The basic sequence is easy to grasp: aim, press to begin setting shot power, press again to lock it, then press a third time to strike the ball. The timing of those presses affects the shot, so understanding the controls is only the first step toward consistency. TechRadar’s PS5 review describes this familiar series mechanic as satisfying, with animation and sound helping communicate the result of a swing. TechRadar’s review also notes that wind, the ball’s lie and spin options make shot selection more involved than the simple controls suggest.
Why simple controls still take practice
A well-timed swing is not the whole decision. Wind can change where a shot ends up, while the ball’s position affects what is practical from a given lie. Spin gives players another way to shape a shot. Together, these factors make the game approachable to pick up without making every situation feel like the same three presses.

Is Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots worth playing solo?
The official mode list gives solo players both Challenge Mode and Solo Rounds. TechRadar’s reviewer reported a satisfying sense of feedback during play and plentiful unlocks, but also described unlocking and progression as slow. That trade-off matters if you want frequent new rewards: the game offers things to work toward, but the review suggests they may take patience.
The same PS5 review noted multiple shot-gauge styles and a gimme-putt option, while describing accessibility options as limited overall. Those are observations about the version and play session reviewed, not a verified account of every platform’s performance or settings.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Can you play with friends?
Yes. Bandai Namco lists local multiplayer for up to four players as well as online play. The publisher’s materials establish those modes, but do not establish cross-play between platforms or provide further details about online matchmaking. If a particular group needs to play across different systems, check the current platform-specific listing rather than assuming cross-play is supported.
How does it run, and what do players think?
TechRadar’s reviewer reported occasional frame-rate dips while the ball traveled on the PS5 version. That is a specific review observation, not a platform-wide performance finding, and the available evidence does not support comparing performance between PS5, Switch and PC.

Which platform should you choose?
The game is listed for Nintendo Switch, PS5 and PC. The available evidence does not establish current prices, cross-play, physical availability or a reliable performance comparison across editions. Choose based on the hardware you want to use, then confirm the current edition and details in that platform’s store. Nintendo’s official Switch listing confirms that version is available.
