The roughly 15-minute presentation mixed new reveals with updates, demos, pre-orders and games released the same day. The dates below are the plans Nintendo announced then; they are not independent confirmation of each game’s status on August 16, 2026.

Platform shorthand: “Switch 2” means Nintendo announced the title for the newer console; “Switch” means the original system. A cross-generation announcement does not establish identical performance or features on both consoles.
The 12 individually featured games
Rotwood
Klei Entertainment’s side-scrolling cooperative action brawler sends players through forests filled with corrupted beasts. It supports solo play and local or online multiplayer for up to four people. Nintendo presented it as a Switch 2 console exclusive and released it on March 3, 2026. “Console exclusive” is Nintendo’s wording and does not necessarily mean exclusive to Nintendo platforms overall.

Blue Prince
Dogubomb and Raw Fury’s mystery-strategy puzzle game takes place in the shifting Mt. Holly manor. The goal is to reach the mysterious Room 46, choosing a new doorway layout as the mansion resets each day. It launched on Switch 2 on March 3 and supports Joy-Con 2 mouse controls.
Blighted
Drinkbox Studios’ exploration-focused action RPG follows a survivor crossing a psychedelic Western nightmare to recover the memories of their people. It supports solo, local and online multiplayer and was announced for Switch 2 in fall 2026. Drinkbox is known for Guacamelee! and Nobody Saves the World, but Nintendo did not describe Blighted as a direct sequel.
Minishoot’ Adventures
SoulGame Studio combines a twin-stick shooter with open-ended, 8-bit-inspired exploration. You pilot a ship through overworlds, caves, temples and cities while rescuing friends. It released on both Switch and Switch 2 on March 3. Nintendo’s Indie World page showed the US Switch 2 Edition at $15.99 when crawled; prices vary by region, edition, tax and sale. Deadzone: Rogue
Prophecy Games’ roguelike first-person shooter sends you through a procedurally generated space station crowded with biomechanical creatures. It supports solo or online multiplayer, uses Joy-Con 2 mouse controls and was announced for Switch 2 on March 17, 2026. Nintendo said pre-orders were open on showcase day.

Fireshine Games’ action-adventure platformer is built around grinding and performing tricks on a train crossing a colorful dystopian Japan. A free Switch 2 demo was announced for March 3, followed by a June 17 release. Nintendo also announced an exclusive train skin for purchasers.
Mixtape
Beethoven and Dinosaur and Annapurna Interactive present a narrative coming-of-age adventure about three friends revisiting formative teenage experiences. Its soundtrack includes artists such as DEVO and The Smashing Pumpkins. Nintendo announced a Switch 2 release for May 7, 2026.

My Little Puppy
Dreamotion’s narrative adventure follows Bong-gu, a Welsh Corgi searching the afterlife for his human father. Nintendo announced a digital Switch release for May 29 and a physical version in June, with costume customization specifically noted for the Switch version. Region, retailer and stock details for the physical edition were not specified.
Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault
Digital Sun and 11 bit studios return to the “adventure by night, merchant by day” formula: explore dungeons, collect loot, then run a shop. Nintendo announced it for Switch 2 in 2026 without a precise date and did not confirm an original-Switch version.

Woodo
Tiny Monks Tales and Daedalic’s cozy puzzle game has you assemble wooden dioramas piece by piece until each 3D scene comes to life. It is planned for Switch 2 and Switch in summer 2026; the Switch 2 version supports Joy-Con 2 mouse controls.
Heave Ho 2
Le Cartel Studio and Devolver Digital’s physics platformer includes eight themed worlds, including weightless-space and cooking scenarios. Local and online modes support up to four players on Switch 2 and Switch, with local GameShare support. The Switch 2 system must host the sharing session. Online play requires Nintendo Switch Online, a Nintendo Account and internet access, subject to Nintendo’s regional terms.
The Midnight Walk
MoonHood and Fast Travel Games built this dark-fantasy adventure from real clay and stop-motion animation. The Burnt One travels with a lantern creature called Potboy. Nintendo announced a Switch 2 release for March 26, 2026, making its handmade visual production the showcase’s clearest visual outlier.
The six montage games
These titles received less screen time than the individually featured games, but they are part of Nintendo’s 18-game total.

Outbound
This cozy off-the-grid exploration game lets you turn a camper van into a home. It supports solo play or online multiplayer for up to four people on Switch 2 and Switch. Nintendo announced a free demo for March 3 and an April 23, 2026 release.
Unrailed 2: Back on Track
The cooperative railroad game asks players to gather resources, lay track and keep a moving train from derailing. It supports online multiplayer on both systems. Nintendo announced a free Switch demo on March 3 and a May 2026 release window.
TOEM 2
The follow-up to the photography adventure TOEM returns players to mysterious “TOEMs,” new regions and character relationships. Nintendo announced it for Switch in summer 2026.
Ratatan
This rhythm roguelike action game combines musical timing with side-scrolling combat while you command more than 100 characters. It supports solo, local and online multiplayer for up to four players and was announced for Switch 2 on July 16, 2026.
inKONBINI: One Store. Many Stories
Set in a 1990s Japan-inspired town, this narrative management game has you stock shelves, run a convenience store, explore the neighborhood and meet customers. It was announced for Switch 2 and Switch on April 30, 2026.
Grave Seasons
This farming-life game adds supernatural murder-mystery elements: establish a life in an apparently idyllic town while investigating a serial killer. Nintendo announced it for Switch in summer 2026.

What the Switch 2 features mean
Joy-Con 2 mouse controls
Nintendo specifically identified mouse-control support for Blue Prince, Deadzone: Rogue and the Switch 2 version of Woodo. The announcement did not say that every Switch 2 game in the showcase supports mouse input.
GameShare in Heave Ho 2
GameShare lets other players join a local session hosted by a Switch 2 system; it is not a permanent transfer or gift of the game. Nintendo says recipients can play only while the active sharing session continues. GameChat-related use adds Switch 2, GameChat, Nintendo Account, internet and Nintendo Switch Online requirements under Nintendo’s access terms.

Rotwood, Blighted, Deadzone: Rogue, Outbound, Unrailed 2, Ratatan and Heave Ho 2 were described with online play. Nintendo’s footnotes state that online features generally require a Nintendo Switch Online membership, Nintendo Account and internet access; availability can vary by region. Check Nintendo Switch Online for current plans.

- Co-op: Rotwood, Heave Ho 2, Unrailed 2 and Ratatan.
- Mystery or puzzles: Blue Prince and Woodo.
- Action: Blighted, Deadzone: Rogue, Minishoot’ Adventures and Denshattack!.
- Story and atmosphere: Mixtape, My Little Puppy and The Midnight Walk.
- Cozy or management play: Outbound, inKONBINI and Moonlighter 2.
- Most unusual premises: Grave Seasons, Ratatan and Denshattack!.
These are descriptive categories based on Nintendo’s presentation, not review scores or hands-on verdicts.
Were all 18 games brand-new reveals?
No. The showcase combined new announcements with updates, ports, already-available releases, demos and date confirmations. Rotwood, Blue Prince and Minishoot’ Adventures were available on March 3, while other games received dates or broad windows. Treat “announced for” as the accurate label unless a later eShop or publisher listing confirms a changed release status.
